As far as what many people want to claim is 'god', I put about as much stock in that as I do ancient mythology, as it all comes from the same source of ignorance and fear.

i have asked god for sings and got them and i pray to him and he answers me.i have a stonge belife in god,but i dont follow evrything the cathlic cherch tells me.my faith and my church are diffrant.

Posted: 6/13/05 at 8:49pmKind of a funny story. While at a horse show i asked one of my Catholic friends who they pray to, and if Jesus was God to her, or was he just the son of God. She explained that her form of Catholicism (Is that a word?) believes that Jesus is the son of god, but they don't bother god at all. They pray and give thanks to saints. So, I looked at her and was like, "See! Us Jews are the Chosen People! We talk directly to God!" Well, everyone around us thought that was the greatest thing EVER. Hehe.
Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

Sort of. I believe in a higher power, but I don't know if it's what people would call "God..." more "fate," really (however stupid that may sound). I do pray every night, because I feel I need to show some sign of graciousness for the fact that I have such a great life (I mean it's far from perfect, but I do realize that I have things pretty damned good), and the safety of my family and friends, and whatnot. I don't follow the teachings of any specific religious text, but I generally try to be a good person.
I need to stop procrastinating and get back to studying...

Posted: 6/13/05 at 9:23pmNope, and I haven't since third grade. Maybe it was a few years in a horrendous Catholic school where we got religion shoved down our throats that made me not believe in God. But I found out about evolution and thought that whole concept was really interesting and just decided that there wasn't a god. But that was the thinkings of a third grader. And I just never "found" him again since then.
I have my books and my poetry to protect me...
