Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:44pmHmmm... The second time I saw A Christmas Carol the lead who played Scrooge was dreadful so I would so say that. Plus no one can top Tim Curry plus the time I saw him, it was free!

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:46pmHmm... hate is an awfully strong word and I don't want to insult anyone, but hairspray was a bit too happy and 60's-ish for me. Maybe it was just my mindset at the time... I might considera refund, since I overpaid for tickets in the first place.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:48pmWicked, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I WANTED to see a musical version of the novel. Barring that, I would have accepted something that made dramaturgical sense in the world it created. And I would like my friend's money back too, since I convinced him to go with me (saw it two days after it opened). And I wouldn't mind some expenses for damages to be reimbursed.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:49pmYeah the first time I saw it we got the tixs free from Rosie O' Donnell Show and Tim was a guest and he gave the whole audience tixs. Tim was amazing. The second time we took my kid brother and the Scrooge was so off key I almost ran out of the theater screaming!

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:50pmFindingNemo, I liked the book too but i ADORE the musical. I just wish they had put more of the characters from the book in the musical like make Boq more like he was in the book and have Elphaba be more bitter. Updated On: 3/6/05 at 03:50 PM

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:53pmi think there is so much expectation when going to see wicked...becuz u see all these fans....but ....its a good musical...not the best one over...but i liked it. still not worth my $90. lol i went to see "bombay dreams" and had no expectations and i thought it was one of the best shows ever.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 3:53pmIt's a good thing that I did not have to pay for this thread. I would have asked for a refund. It's the same old "Shows you don't like" thread wrapped up in a new name.

The most dissapointing show I ever saw and wish I had not paid money to see the show was:
Copacabana...... It was on tour and I was so embarrased by this excuse of a show. I know, I know.. One might wonder why I was actually willing to pay to see this show, but you have to admit the title song is very infectious and anyone you know seems to know the song. I thought with Barry Manillow at helm there might be some fun stuff going on.... I have to say, I was very upset and dissapointed. It was so bad that I wished Rico had just taken Lola and ended the whole thing.
Those of us who longed for a little camp a little disco a little Barry felt that the show shouuld have been called CRAPOCABANA.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 4:34pmglad i only spent $26.25 on brooklyn...one of my uncles was involved in the creation of it, so i feel like it was kind of a donation to him (considering he's probably gonna lose quite a bit of money on it...). although, the talent was really great, so i guess just seeing eden and ramona was worth it.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 5:29pmi'd say brooklyn, but it was only 20 something dollars, and at least i got to see it and form my own opinions about it...I almost had to see it just to know if it was as bad as everyone made it out to be...probably not the best reason to see a show!
