I thought Finian's Rainbow had an opening announced for the St James already.
A STEADY RAIN (presumably the Schoenfeld)

Finian's Rainbow is opening October 29 at the St. James (previews begin October
Present Laughter is the January-March show at the AA Theater.
Overall, on paper it looks like it's shaping up to be a very underwhelming season.

bye bye birdie!
I searched for any word that the transfer of LA CAGE had been announced and found this on Playbill.com:
The acclaimed, award-winning London revival of Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles is headed to Broadway.
The producer of the Tony-winning Best Revival of a Play, The Norman Conquests, announced in the Tony press room that their next Broadway production will be a transfer of the hit West End revival of La Cage aux Folles.
Producer Sonia Friedman said the production will open on Broadway next spring and will feature its Olivier Award-winning star Douglas Hodge.
The last revival in 2005 started off strong but the box office fell off very quickly, and even winning the Tony for Best Revival didn't help. In London, again, the show started off very strong and seems to have petered out as well. Not sure why. Is it too much a product of its time? Is it too tame when there are edgier plays and musicals dealing with gay couples out there?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
The Theatrical Index as THE ADDAMS FAMILY in the Lunt-Fontanne, so you can take out the "probably." Also, an opening date of April 8 has been announced (previews start March 4).
Do you think Robin Williams will go into the Lunt-Fontanne? TLM closes in August and The Addams Family doesn't open until April. It seems there'd be plenty of time for Robin Williams and/or White Christmas/Christmas BATB.
There a still plans to open:
Sister Act (TBA)
Rebecca (TBA)
Rebecca? Is it based on the Htichcock film? Play or musical?

I thought THE VIBRATOR PLAY was rumored to go to the Belasco, not the Lyceum.
Lincoln Center Theater's website has In the Next Room going to the Lyceum.
I think the long-rumored Belasco renovation is finally, actually happening.

Isn't it always an underwhelming season? Or at least, isn't that what theater snobs say? Let's take a look: You have SEVERAL major film stars making their Broadway debut, you have a Pulitzer prize winner author's new show, and of course, three HUGE new musicals. What did I miss?
Why do people who say they love Broadway hate Broadway?

I believe Rebecca is based on the Daphne DuMaurier novel - and I thought I heard musical (which could be Brilliant) but I'm not certain.

JoeKv - If you count Superior Donuts as a new show, then there are two Pulitzer winners (Mamet and Letts) with new plays opening this year. There's also the first Broadway showings of Mamet's Oleanna and Pulitzer winner Margulies's Collected Stories
Plus there's the first Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie, one of the most beloved musicals out there; James Bond and Wolverine in A Steady Rain; Nathan Lane in his first musical since The Producers; Catch Me If You Can, the first musical from Marc Shaiman since winning the Tony for Hairspray and based on an Oscar-nominated film; the most expensive musical ever produced in Spider-Man; Victor Garber's first Broadway performance in 10 years; Broadway debuts from Julia Stiles, Sienna Miller, T.R. Knight, Jonny Lee Miller and more; and the opening of the brand new Henry Miller's Theatre.
What is underwhelming about this season?
