I'm a long-time LCT member and I haven't heard anything about the upcoming season. They seem to be slow in announcing shows these last two years. It's annoying when they decide to include a commercial production as part of their season and announce it after tickets have gone on sale, and members may have already purchased tickets to that show.
Merrily We Roll Along has been extended to March 24.
Could be LCT be downsizing their operations next season and that’s why there’s a lack of an announcement?

They only ended up doing one Broadway show by themselves this year, could be the same next year. I imagine FY22 was a financial DISASTER for them with the return from shutdown + Flying Over Sunset + Skin of Our Teeth. This year has been better with Camelot probably meeting its operating costs most weeks although it's probably nowhere close to "recouping" (although I know that works differently when you're a non-profit).
Maybe they'll do more co-producing with commercial producers like they've done for Mockingbird and Ohio State Murders?
Am I misremembering that LCT generally doesn't announce a full season of shows? I don't have time to comb back through old press releases right now, but my memory is that they tend to announce things piecemeal, for all 3 of their spaces. They're not selling season subscriptions in the same way other theaters are, so they don't have to package/announce their programming that way.
In this case, they had been selling Camelot through Labor Day before they announced the early closure, and they probably hoped to extend it even longer the way they have with some of their other big musicals. So it makes sense that they wouldn't have anything queued up for this coming fall.

Yes, at least for Broadway they tend to announce things piecemeal –– a necessity of having one space and hopes of musicals running longer than their announced limited run.
The fourth Broadway revival of Cabaret will play the August Wilson Theatre; dates will be announced later.
Purlie Victorious will now officially open on September 27.

Is that a guess or something you actually heard? The Roundabout website says Doubt is Winter 2024 and Home is Spring. I suppose they could run them concurrently with one at Studio 54.

Neither actually. I googled the show and theatre and the dates were listed with the website. If I can figure out how to post pictures I’ll add it.
edit- can’t figure out how to add pictures still so the link is below. hopefully it works
here’s what I saw on google
Whatever that is, I don't think it's correct. Roundabout's website isn't showing production dates yet for Doubt or Home and they're both listed for the American Airlines Theatre. Also, May 30th next year is a Thursday so I can't imagine that would be the closing date.

I chatted with Roundabout just now. The customer service rep said the dates aren’t confirmed yet but should be announced closer to September. Didn’t think the dates on google were correct anyway.

This will be a limited run, currently set to conclude on January 28."
Is there anything confirmed/rumored to be going into the James Earl Jones that would prevent a Gutenberg extension (if desired)?
A musical adaptation of The Outsiders will play the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Previews begin March 16, and opening night is April 11.
I'm surprised at the dearth of play revivals announced for this season. Any rumors about possible openings for Spring?

With Once Upon A Time closing, broadway is losing an energy filled pop musical. Is it just me or are none of the musicals coming in pop and exciting this season?
