Already?
And is that actually a picture of Peter Billingsley? It looks a lot like him.

Could be. I believe he is one of the producers of the show. He was promoting it when it played Chicago last year.
Spoiler alert:
There is a big leg lamp kickline production number.
Have I missed the cast announcement?

What a shame!! No more Ghost, which I actually enjoyed more than any other new musical from last season. To be replaced with this corn ball holiday garbage.
I don't think that's Peter Billingsley, just a kid who looks a lot like him.
A side note of possible interest: The house that they used for the exterior shots of the family home in the movie has been restored to its film appearance and is available for tours. It's in Cleveland, and I went there a few years ago. It's interesting, even though the neighborhood it's in is pretty seedy and they didn't use the interior of the house for any filming (all the interiors were filmed on a soundstage in Canada). The guy who bought the house gutted it and redid the interior to as closely resemble the house layout in the movie as possible, which was tricky because the actual house interior is MUCH smaller than the interior in the movie. For some reason, though, he painted all the downstairs walls yellow.
There's also a small museum nearby with props, costumes, and photos, and a gift shop that sells every kind of Christmas Story merchandise imaginable. So if you liked the movie and the show, come on down to Cleveland and see Ralphie's house! :)
Any clue if there will be rush for A Christmas Story? Anyone with inside info?

I think it would look neat if they brought back the picture frame border from The Addams Family marquee to go with this.
I feel like the artwork is so...obvious. I don't know. It's exactly like I expected it to look.
Nothing new or exciting. Though, I imagine the show is much like that. Nothing new or exciting.

The show is actually quite charming. I saw it on tour last year for free. I enjoyed it so much I purchased tickets to take my relatives over the holidays. I think the score is a lot of fun! (You wouldn't believe that it's the same composers as Dogfight. It's nice to see they are versatile.) The book is good, not perfect, but not painful at all. And from what I understand, they've been working on since the tour last year.
I've seen Elf, Grinch and A Christmas Story and I can tell you that ACS is the only one I am interested in seeing again.
Give it a chance.
"versatile" IMHO their music all sounds the same.

Dogfight and A Christmas Story sound nothing alike. But you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

To me Dogfight still sounded like Edges. It was a little too "disney" sounding for such a rough story.
We saw this in its original form in KC and it was VERY entertaining. Wish I was able to come back to NYC to see this version.
To anyone who has seen the production, where would be the best seats to see the show? My friend and I really want to go and were trying to decide. Front row mezz? Mid orchestra? Thanks!
