Nice article in the NY Times. from RC in Austin, Texas (visiting NYC from March 10-13).

Seems like it has the potential to be a lovely space.
I think this is going to be my new favorite place in New York.
The renderings look beautiful and the concept is great. Can't wait to see it actualized.
Another thumbs up for John Lee Beatty. can't wait to check this place out this summer.
I truly did not want another reason to miss living in NYC.
Looks awesome.
God, I am aching for a Cabaret revival.
Looks great! Good lineup of people, swingin design, and an appealing concept. Here's to hoping they don't have a $200 cover charge.
Did you read the article?
“There are other cabaret rooms in the city, but they occupy a very different territory than ours in terms of price and experience,” he said.
I think they're trying to take it in the opposite direction of places like The Carlyle and Feinstein's, where it costs $100 just to walk though the door and then another $100 on food and drink minimums. It sounds like it's going to be more fun and casual, like Joe's Pub.
You can get an idea of the pricing here:

Seems entirely reasonable to me.
Entirely reasonable, I'd say.
That definitely seems reasonable, and not too much more than places like Joe's Pub and Birdland (in some cases, pretty much the same).
There seems to be a pecking order for how much it costs.
$100 (cover + minimum) for Patti LuPone
$90 (cover + minimum) for Ben Vereen
$65 (cover + minimum) for Megan Hilty, Brian D'Arcy James or Tony De Sare (who?)
$55 (cover + minimum) for Jackie Hoffman, Justin Bond, Rebecca Luker, Lea Delaria, Michael Arden (one night only!), Julia Murney, Linda Lavin or Eden Espinosa
