A likely tenant to replace it would be gotta dance.

"After Midnight

Holla If Ya Hear Me"

They both recorded a couple of songs though if you snoop around enough on Soundcloud and what not. I have them on my iTunes to pay tribute. They're quite amazing.

They/them. "Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."

"In addition, a few on this board get visceral thrills when a show struggles and closes."

Namely, you! Your visceral thrill comes from feeling superior because you've SEEN the struggling show after getting free or near-free tickets and that somehow makes you superior to the people who see hits for anything close to the actual ticket price.

The songs/singing/rapping were the best part about Holla. It wasn't a terrible show, but I didn't find it any worse then say...It Shoulda Been You, Doctor Zhivago, or Living on Love.

ANYWAY, I suspect we'll see a cast recording out of this. The producers have some deep pockets and if they want to spread the gospel of Amazing Grace, as they've said in interviews, a recording helps.

So, if Gotta Dance transfers will Mitchell be up against himself for a Tony noM?

Has there been any casting announcements for the upcoming production of Gotta Dance? I'm interested to see how this project turns out.

Obviously my sarcasm doesn't come across very well over the internet

I agree that the cast was excellent. I liked the sets, too. The script was mediocre and the story line trite and predictable. I felt very sorry for the cast that they had to endure this show. I think the story itself is interesting but could and should have been told differently... like, from Oliver's POV. Now THAT would be novel!

A little here & there. Up to now, not doing it on a consistent basis.

Has anyone else seen this show? I feel like there's comparatively less chatter but someone must be seeing it.

AMAZING GRACE struggling on Broadway

I saw the show last night and j honestly cannot see it lasting too much longer. The music isn't great and it's just boring and drags.

AMAZING GRACE struggling on Broadway

The story itself is super heavy so it would be a surprise if it was anything else.

It's not a good show in the least bit. It's a vanity project at best. It should be gone.

This thread is nowhere near us much fun as the one about Honeymoon in Vegas struggling.

"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."

I'd imagine that the audience is comprised primarily of partially-empty busloads of church groups who, one would guess from the grosses, are paying somewhere between $0-10 per ticket.
