Won the lottery for last night's performance (SRO ticket). At 8:10pm, a member of the house passed me a handwritten note to move me to seat FA15 as the house lights were going down. The usher in my section did not have time to help me find this seat on the other side of the theater. Despite not getting to the upgrade, I had a fine time. The production was okay, some performances were stronger than others.
I will say the music they chose to play at the intermission/pause took me out of the moment, but once Act II got into the swing of things, that subsided.

This is seriously getting underestimated.

Anyone know from what section they select people to go onstage for the beginning of Act 2? I know I've heard it's typically seats on the aisle but is it random other than that?

There are standing room tickets that have a great view. I believe they might be same-day only.

There is no rush. I stopped by the box office yesterday and was told all standing room tickets are given out by the lottery, none are sold at the box office. But I guess you could take a chance and check close to curtain maybe they would have one or two available?
I was able today to get a $125 ticket (including fees) for May 30th.. Seems they are randomly releasing some less expensive seats so I would advise to keep checking everyday if you want to avoid the higher price tickets,

was there tonight. wasnt all that enamored with the production but the play is solid and hard to believe it was written so long ago. Jeremy Strong is solid, and really got me at the end, very committed performance, but given all the hubbub and likelihood of a tony, i was underwhelmed.
imperioli did nothing for me- and im a huge sopranos fan. Caleb Eberhardt and Thomas Jay Ryan were standouts. i didnt see Appropriate, but I thought Purlie was a much better evening and packed more of a punch.

I have to agree on all counts. Jeremy Strong gave a masterful performance in "Succession", and I was so excited to see him on stage, but he was kind of underwhelming. I wish his choices were a bit more specific, and that his physicality was more restrained. He was gesturing on every other word and it got distracting for me.

I've seen the play a couple of months ago and I don't remember him gesticulating as much as you're saying he did. It was a remarkably restrained performance. If you're comparing his acting on stage to on a TV show, it's always gonna be different since a TV show enables you to be a lot more subtle by comparison but even so, the intimate staging of the play helps him be a lot more subtle than if he was on a typical stage since the audience is a lot closer to you. You don't need to yell as much.
