A man who wants to destroy a whole society must be an enemy to everyone.
“Succession”’s Jeremy Strong returns to Broadway in a revival of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, starting previews tomorrow night (February 27) at Circle in the Square Theatre before a March 18 opening. The play — newly adapted by Amy Herzog — also stars Michael Imperioli, Victoria Pedretti, Caleb Eberhardt, Matthew August Jeffers, David Patrick Kelly, Thomas Jay Ryan, and Alan Trong. An Enemy of the People runs through June 16; Sam Gold directs.
“A small-town doctor considers himself a proud, upstanding member of his close-knit community. When he discovers a catastrophe that risks the lives of everyone in town, he raises the alarm. But he is shaken to his core when those in power, including his own brother, not only try to silence him — they try to destroy him.”
I just won a lottery ticket for tomorrow night, and was actually kind of annoyed to find out that it's a standing room "seat" which I didn't find out until after I bought the ticket.
I was entering directly on the Telecharge rush/lottery website and didn't see any disclaimer there it could be standing room. Apparently you have to click on "Drawing Details" to see it.
The one show I can recall offering standing room through the lottery, Here Lies Love, it was more prominently labeled, if it would be standing room tickets.

It's literally noted in the post above yours."
I'm not saying I didn't see that post. I came to this thread after winning the lottery ticket to explain to people you're not going to know until after the fact if you won a standing room only ticket.
I’m excited for you! I wonder if you’ll be standing on the stage area? Or in the traditional standing room area begins the last row of seats at Circle in the Square.
Normally productions don’t allow standing room during previews (in my experience.)
I'm not a fan of a Circle in the Square but just as I saw Hugh Jackman when he performed there in a 3 person play I already have my tickets to see this show because I liked Succession. I will be interested in reading which seats people who attend the previews think were the best ones.
I'll never understand folks being able to sit through a 2 hour movie but not a 2 hour play (in terms of bathroom and food breaks... not including those with disabilities etc etc). Don't have 6 cocktails before the first act, and a 5 minute stretch is more than enough to get me through the next 30-60 min of a play.

The standing room area is on the rails on two sides behind the last row of seats. On the side I was on, the creative team was in the row in front of us. I believe Sam Gold was the person I was standing behind.
I was lucky enough to get upgraded at the last second, so I actually saw the show from the second row.
