I don't believe she deserves the disrespect she is being shown here. If she were in front of you, you'd all be kissing her arse and congratulating her on her Tony.
COMPLETELY agree.

Having an opinion is disrespect? I am sure Catherine passes judgement on thigs too. I don't think she deserves "hatred" or the sh*t on Hunter Foster's moron page at all but these are opinions and some of those photos are very funny. I would even think she even has enough of a sense of humour to laugh.
And...I have met her and she is gorgeous and very nice. I told her I adored her tap dancing which I did. But... I never kissed her ass and told her what a fan I was of her movies or UK tv shows because I wasn't.

Having a well-thought, educated opinion is not disrespect. Posting unflattering screen caps and starting and maintaining a thread to, in essence make fun of her, is.
The woman has an Oscar, a Tony and is a well regarded actress who was lauded for this performance. The digs by SOME (not all) of the people on this board is lame.
It is comforting to know that while she is being vulnerable and authentic and collecting awards left and right for her acting, others are throwing their energy into hating on her and continuing to amount to nothing. The universe and karma are a great thing.

"collecting awards left and right"
eh? so since Chicago she has won awards for ALNM. I don't think she has won a BAFTA. I don't think her trophy case is jam packed with awards.
having said that, i honestly do get your point and agree. but...one of the biggest things actors do and some very well is have the ability to laugh at themselves. i happen to think CZJ has a wicked sense of humour and would not be hurt by the photos and screen caps. (if she saw them) people in theatre actually rib one another all of the time. i don't see anyone destroying her and although some of us may not agree with her win we are in no means comparable to that horrid Hunter Foster page.

"Actually, if you're a smoker, you should smoke just before you perform. It keeps the phlegm down."
It also lowers the voice. So if you're a sweet soprano like Barbara Cook, you'll be sounding like Bea Arthur in three years tops.

Posted: 6/18/10 at 11:33amShe made funny faces, I made funny screen caps. I have nothing against her, like the OP, who has a crazed vendetta against everything to do with this revival of a show that's gonna be a snoozer even under the BEST of circumstances.

I was just informed you did see the show. Sorry, I didn't see that post. I stand corrected.
I don't have a bee at all. I'm just adept at searching.

No, I wouldn't. I'm not a fan. If I had to talk to her I'd ask her what she does for a living.
