re: Adam!! :)

*raises eyebrow*

Are you implying that I might have a reason to take it away?

re: Adam!! :)

NO! NEVER! ... but just in case... re: Adam!! :)

re: Adam!! :)

maybe he'll bust out the red suede lace up pants he used to sport. ridiculous. if you're saying he's lost weight, then those should fit him again.
#104

re: Adam!! :)

Red suede?

Oh, say you're joking.
#105

re: Adam!! :)

Paulie! How can you remind me of those pants... I was so good at erasing them from my memory!!!

re: Adam!! :)

Oh lord...

Should I even ask if there are pictures?
#108

re: Adam!! :)

no joke. they were red suede and they looked like they would tear in half they were so tight. I laughed long when I saw them. where adam is blessed with the voice, some of the rest of us are blessed with fashion sense. ha.

*covers eyes*

Oh, I can't watch, but I have to. I do have a fascination with horrible clothing. Do you have a picture?
#110

re: Adam!! :)

I know I've seen pictures... I wish I knew where. Ah, fashion sense.

re: Adam!! :)

he wore them at a CBGB's gig...one of his last with his band, but I don't have any pics of it...sorry.
#112

re: Adam!! :)

So you saw them in person?

If he wore those, it's not a wonder that he never got far with his band...
#113

re: Adam!! :)

yeah, I saw them in person. his bandmates were better dressers. those were the days...
#114

re: Adam!! :)

Opinions on his old music? I've never heard from anyone who'd seen him pre-Rent.
#115

re: Adam!! :)

it was so-so. there were a few catchy tunes, but a much harder sound than his solo stuff. the band, Mute, was more glam rock-ish. I think Adam was feeling his oats and then found his place. he's definitely more of a classic rocker than a punk rocker.

re: Adam!! :)

It's really good - you can see the development in style - it sounds a lot like his stuff.

re: Adam!! :)

Hm... I'm a fan of louder stuff normally, but what he's doing now is good. re: Adam!! :) And nothing could ever have been great if he hadn't found his own style.
#118

re: Adam!! :)

No, it's DEFINITELY loud. Good stuff.

re: Adam!! :)

Loud is good, unless it's just senseless screaming. Do you have any of this to share? It's not really bootlegging (and I can't get in trouble) if you're sending something that's not for sale anyway.

re: Adam!! :)

re: Adam!! :)

You guys are so funny. I was feeling a bit down a few moments ago. Then I decided to read this thread, and I'm feeling a lot better. Adam talk is the cure for the soul.

re: Adam!! :)

I was there! I saw him in Cabaret & Aida, & both times he didn't stage door, & I've loved this guy for at least 3 years, so.

I was right in front of the stage. Very uncomfortable for me because he was RIGHT there & that's so much beauty! But I handled it very well, considering I'm reaaally giddy all the time (plus, Joshua Kobak was within 6 feet of my seat, so I had to remain sedated, haha). I kept my calm, I think...except I did convulse when Glory started. If you were there, you might have seen my flail XD

I thought he sang Book of Endings? I remember being like "oh, that must be called Book of Endings" when he was singing it. Unless I was just so cracked out on Adam!love that I made it up. Which is highly possible.

I finally met him. Le sigh. He was so nice & just very gracious last night. It was amazing. His new stuff is just fantastic & he looks great & sounds great. The end!
#124

re: Adam!! :)

lol!! He sang Book of Endings - that was the very last song he did, after Glory. And I applaud you for sitting THAT close. That would freak me out, even though his eyes are hardly ever open anyway. re: Adam!! :)

All of these stage door stories are making me jealous. This is the first time in years that I didn't even make an attempt. I feel like I cheated myself, even though I defintely just met him Tuesday. God, I'm ridiculous. re: Adam!! :)

yay for Adam love and yay for 11/27 now officially being less than two week away.

re: Adam!! :)

I only sat there because my friend's aunt had already gotten the table. I was like nooooo I might jump the stage. Where's security?

He HAD to wear pinstriped pants that reminded me of Roger.
