OK, some one recommended we have one thread for our reviews: so this is mine. I guess I will just change this first post each time.

So, better late than never, I have acquired Adam Pascal's two CDs (Model Prisoner and Civilian). I was sort of skeptical about getting them. I agree he has a good voice, but I don't think it is the type I could just listen to over and over. He does well in Rent, and he's pretty good in Aida, and just OK (vocally) in Cabaret. He has a very distinct rock-type voice.

As I said, I was kind of skeptical to listen to his CDs. I thought I would have to shut it off after a few songs. Not so. I guess I never realized it, but when he's not singing showtunes, he actually sounds really good. Good enough that I could listen to these CDs over and over. If only I could burn them onto one disc.

I guess I never realized how pleasant his voice is. Now the music is really nice rock music that isn't overally done. I enjoy listening to the music. Can't wait for the next one!

I want to write music. I want to sit down right now at my piano and write a song that people will listen to and remember and do the same thing every morning...for the rest of my life. - Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick...BOOM!

Welcome to the club re: Adam Pascal CD Reviews

Adam has his own playlist on my MP3 Player, so I can listen to him and only him if I so choose (emcee, you'll enjoy another of my playlists: Raul). I've also made a compliation CD of Adam's songs from Aida and Rent, so my 3-disk CD changer can be completely Adam. Obsessive, yes, but so worth it...

Adam and Raúl have their own playlists on my iPod, too!! re: Adam Pascal CD Reviews
Adam's is like 70something songs long.... provides the capability to hear that voice for something like 2 and a half hours on end.

I think Civilian has better songs but Model Prisoner is easier to relax with or to do work with.

What a nice thread! I agree with you, Thenardier. Some of the quieter songs on Model Prisoner are my favorites when I'm in a relaxed mood.

Model Prisoner is the one and only CD that I can listen to while I'm falling asleep, and still successfully fall asleep. The majority of it is really relaxing.

Adam Pascal's CDs make my eardrums explode with joy.

I'm glad you thought they were worth it. re: Adam Pascal CD Reviews
