Alec Baldwin

New production announcement of Inherit the Wind coming with Alec Baldwin. So, how good is this old show for a the "New Broadway" season?

Snooze. Do we know who is directing or which theater it's going into?

Where did you get this info? I can't find anything about it.

Dude's really working hard to get out of the house and away from his 53 kids under 10, or whatever it is.

He is a talent, but I personally don't know if I can see him on a stage, his real-life personality has started to irk me more and more in recent years.

If this is true, personally i would be veeeery excited. They would probably get another really big name to join him and that’s exciting to think about, as well.

That's really sad.

Obviously you've never seen Alec Baldwin on stage. He was positively brilliant in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE quite a few years ago; downright hilarious in TWENTIETH CENTURY: excellent in an uneven production of ORPHANS a few years back and mesmerizing in EQUUS at the John Drew Theater in East Hampton.

I would love to see a one man play in which he does his SNL Trump impersonation a la Will Ferrell in You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush back in 2009.

You chose to bring the subject of Alec Baldwin's children into this discusssion. Not appropriate, "dude".

I get the idea but thing Trump is still too much of a hot button issue for anyone to laugh at this. And he’d prob sue or something. Honestly the less we speak his name the better.

Please no. Not only is Trump still toxic as SouthernCakes said but also Baldwin's Trump was initially great and then became incredibly tired and lazy. There was literally nothing unique he brought to that role after the first six months. It certainly wasn't as lovable, as interesting or as creative as Ferrell's Bush.

And I still haven't found any indication of an Inherit the Wind revival with or without Alec Baldwin.

While I’m not a Baldwin fan, I am a big Inherit the Wind fan. It definitely had relevance right now with a narcissistic political character who craves the approval of his followers and science/modernism vs. religion/conservatism. Bring it back!

Alec Baldwin was on a local radio show this morning on Eastern Long Island. During the call-in section of the show I asked him about this and he replied "that's news to me, but I've always liked the play"
