Which is different from him actually missing a lot of shows... heh. He had a pretty detailed vacation schedule from the moment tickets went on sale.

Kind of, but his performance is very earnest and warm, and his voice is phenomenal. (I only saw his first show on Broadway, though; haven't gotten to get back since.)

I wouldn't be surprise if Peter Lockyer took over, but maybe he's done with Les Mis after his London run.

This would be very inspired and unlikely casting, but Norm Lewis blew the roof off of "Bring Him Home" at The Wing gala recently. He would be fabulous.

I feel like Norm works more as Javert. His voice has a very large, powerful feel, with an edge of darkness. I could see JOJ or some other Mackintosh style performer though.

Saw him play the role in London and again a few weeks ago in NY. Alfie has really grown into the role, and as you say Lizzie, his singing is phenomenal.

I have not seen much on any of the boards about the new LES MIZ cast. I remember there being a thread but once the new cast came in, it sort of disappeared. That is opposite of what you'd expect to happen. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention and missed it.
