All My Children's Jacob Young Makes Broadway Debut as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast May 9

What the f**k is Disney doing? This guy seems too young to play Lumiere. Plus I never liked him when I saw him on the show anyway. The people who watch All My Children are not going to come see it so what the point? Just to give some young guy his desire. This really cheapens the show even more. Disney is not gaining any prestige by doing this. I would hate to be Peter Flynn and know I am being replaced by this guy during the summer.
Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

I think Mark Price completed his 3-month stint a few weeks ago when Aldrin Gonzalez came back to Lefou after a long injury leave.

I heard that there will be a new Cogsworth coming in with Jacob Young, too, but I don't know who it will be.

Doubtful...he's not going to really draw an enormous amount of people to the show - he's not really a star to merit a supporting role getting the last bow.

This show just needs to close. It's just time.

well, this is definitely a far cry from JR (AMC) or Lucky (GH) - neither of his portrayals of these characters am I that thrilled with. (the angry young man) I thought it curious casting - but, maybe that was the deal Disney made with him to be on AMC - that they'd put him in one of their B'Way shows. Since he definitely would not be able to pull off the Beast, he's not really the 'Lion King' type and Aida closed - unless they made him 'Tarzan' ::shudders:: - I guess this was the only thing - - of course they could have cast him as LeFou! LOL I'll be interested to see the reviews.

Oh Sybil, I'm sure he'd be great in Tarzan, if only because a lot of people want to see him in a loincloth. (He is tanned and toned lately. Although the new teeth scare me.) I did forget about the ABC/Disney synergy...I'm sure they'll be advertising it on the soaps' bumpers.
