Granted I never got to see the show on stage; but judging by the cast recording, I think Ms. Alexander did a great job in the role of Amy. The character is supposed to be the snotty, spoiled youngest sister, I felt she did a great job. And I thought she was wonderful as the troll. Just me though...
NO, I actually thought she portrayed the role very well. I do not like the role much, but I didn't in the book either.
I agree completely. However, I though another actress should have played her in the second act. She never appears to age at all and looks like a little girl playing dress up.

I've been fairly harsh of my assessment of her performance in Little Women. "Hate" is a little strong however.
I didn't hate her at all - actually I didn't see what all the fuss was about - other than the fact that her voice kinda reminds me of Shirley Temple - but otherwise, I think she was fine in the show.
yes....lol
but you have a hayden quote for you sig so I like you :)
though I did not like the show
I met any at it
and she was very nice and reminded me of a good friend of mine
I thought she was great as Amy and a sweet woman to boot. I got to have a short chat with her at the stage door.
I just plain love Little Women!
As do I, Hyperchet!
Anyway, I saw Amy five times in the role, and each time I liked her better. I thought she did a very good job with an underdeveloped, underwritten role, and I think her voice works well for the part.
