The adorable Frankie James Grande, Mr. MAMA MIA.
A well deserved win, his talent rendition was hysterical and won over the crowd.
This was a very fun evening and such a great cause.
The ALI FORNEY CENTER, for Gay youth who have no where to live and no parental support.
Tovah Felshuh was a very amusing host and judges Seth Rudetsky, Scott Nevins and the tipsy Nancy Opel were hysterical.
All the contestants should be applauded for putting on a great show and being such good sports.
Wade Billestein, Mr Curtains, who was an outcast youth himself and his bathing suit has great rear "CURTAINS"
Kenway Hon Wai K. Kua, Mr. WICKED Best interview skirt-thing.
Nick Sanchez, Mr. TARZAN, 50 impressive toe touches.
Kevin Yee, Mr. MARY POPPINS, just adorable
Arbender Robinson Mr. HAIRSPRAY, who will be a great Prince Understudy in THE LITTLE MERMAID
and first runner-up :
Paul McGill Mr. A CHORUS LINE
(who wore a questionable bathing suit)
Kudos to all.

They were all BRILLIANT, not to mention GORGEOUS! Tovah Feldshuh was HYSTERICAL, and Seth, Scott Nevins and Nancy Opel were an absolutely fantastic trio of judges. Scott kept asking the sluttiest questions, and made me very jealous! Wow. These boys were STUNNING.
P.S. I voted for Mr. CURTAINS. He was a piece of artwork.
*faints*
So did I Wanna Be,
and he isn't my type.
But he so "embodied" the competition.

The ALI FORNEY CENTER (AFC)was started in June 2002 in response to the lack of safe shelter for LGBT youth in NYC. They are commited to providing LGBT youth with safe, dignified, nuturing environments where their needs can be met and where they can begin to put their lives together.
To learn more or to make a donattion they have a website.
All the best to them.

That's Ward Billeisen.
That photo doesn't do him justice. He is this kind, friendly, smart, extremely talented Broadway star and his father still doesn't talk to him since he came out when he was 14. Most parents are useless pieces of garbage. Most, not all. But definitely most. The ignorance and hatred that embodies our culture is disgusting. Brava to everyone who gave so much at this benefit last night, and many well wishes to the youth who are thrown out of their homes for simply existing.
Any pics of the winner?

An amazing evening. I haven't laughed that much in years. How come thrown together events like this are so much more fun than $110 Broadway musicals?
SUCH a fun night. I also laughed harder than I had at anything else in a very long time.
I hope this is something they keep up and do every year because it's such an important foundation to bring awareness to.
And I voted for Ward, also. How could I not when he lifted his "curtains" in the swimsuit competition?!

I was unable to go... details about the Paul mcGill swimsuit please.. so many mention it, yet no one tells it.
"Scott kept asking the sluttiest questions"
That's a huge opening...literally!
Paul seems to be walking down the runway as if he were Claudia Schiffer.
I feel sorry for Michael Portantiere (photographer) for having to work this event [note sarcasm].
Thanks for posting the link Popular!!

Did the winner do the traditional shaking hands, open mouth, tears of joy when he was crowned?
Eh, not my cup of tea.
The only guy that does anything for me is the one that won.
The CHORUS LINE guy is cute, but too twinky. I like men.
I like men AND twinkies -- more possiblities.
No twinkies for me either.
Scott Nevins was the hottest of them all.
Wow, this event and Seth Rudetsky's Broadway 101==two in a row! Both events drew sold out crowds that were more than enthusiastic. I was lucky enough to work both events and had the time of my life at each one!
Keep 'em comin, boys! (at New World Stages, of course).
