I apologize in advance for yet another Richard Rogers Theatre / Hamilton seating question.
The only seat I can get for the day I will be in New York City within my price range for Hamilton is Orchestra Center, Row S, Seat 109.
I have been to the Richard Rogers Theatre for In The Heights and If/Then but sat much closer for both shows. Has anyone sat in Row S? Will the Mezzanine overhang obstruct any of my view?
Thanks for your help!
You should be fine in that seat. I was in Row V and didn't miss but a head during one scene.

The RR has really great rear orchestra stadium-style seating so you'll be perfecy fine. I wouldn't pass on this!

I was in Q. The overhang was well out of the way--not anywhere close to obstructing my view. I would've been able to sing someone hanging from the rafters if I needed. You should be fine in S.

So I have the option of sitting in orchestra row O dead centre or row B of the front mezz on the left....figure if I'm going see this show I might as well pay for decent seats (can't afford premium though...)

Row O and it's not close. O is a great seat because the rows rise back there, row B is too close
I agree that Row O is a great seat, especially in the center. But is this regular price, or is it premium? I thought I saw yesterday on Ticketmaster that these seats are now premium.

Just double checked and the night I want row O is showing as a regular seat. Think I'll book it once I get home. So excited!!
I haven't been keeping track of the seating for this show, can anyone tell me why (March 4th) there are seats in rows A-E (the far sides of the theater) are only $167, when everything around them is $352? Are these severely restricted views on the far sides of the Rodgers?
You're comparing premium seats to regular seats to begin with. And if you click the side seats in the front, the text that comes up on Ticketmaster says "Due to sight lines, the side of the stage you are on will be missed." Which I assume means further upstage...

I noticed the same message on Ticketmaster that haterobics described on orchestra seats to the far left or far right of the stage. These are regular price seats not premium. They are rows C, D and E from the aisle seat to the third seat in on the row. Has anyone sat in these seats for Hamilton? If so, was any of your view missed?

Just bought my tix for April 29th. Row O seat 107 smack in the middle....paid more than I would have liked especially with the CDN dollar so low but still very excited!
Has anyone sat in the orchestra seats to thee far left or far right? Is your view really obstructed that much?

I saw Hamilton yesterday from the very last row of the orchestra and was able to see everything, including the upper level of the stage. I would say as long as you're not of the height of an NBA center, you should be able to see everything from "partial view" seats.
I sat in Row Q on the far left side of the orchestra (house left), the third seat from the end. It was a great view. I was surprised how close I felt to the stage, and how I didn't feel "far over." Nothing was obstructed. At intermission I chatted with the two women sitting to my left (they were at the end). They also pronounced the view very good. So I think the sides of the orchestra are fine.
I also sat in Row P in the center, and that was a lovely view. But if you can't get the center, go for the sides!
Good to know about the last row in the orchestra theatremelvin94. I wish I was as tall as an NBA center! I'm not that tall so that won't be a problem.
macnyc, I was looking at orchestra, row E, third seat in from the aisle but was concerned that some of the stage would be obstructed.

Sorry, push, I really don't know. When I was there last I took note of the stage on both sides, and I didn't see anything jutting out to obstruct any views. I imagine you'll be okay. I hope someone with knowledge of those seats will post.

I sat in Row G on the far left aisle last week. I couldn't see people when they were on the stairway on the left side of the stage. It was only a couple of times that I couldn't see someone doing/singing something significant. There were also times when the character who was the focus of the scene was blocked by dancers, but everyone is moving around a lot so those moments were brief. Personally, it was well worth it to be that close to the stage and able to see Leslie Odom's subtle performance and the tears on Philippa Soo's face at the end. The only other way I'll ever be that close again is if I win the lotto because I can't afford premium seats. On the other hand, the far side seats don't offer a good view of the staging, lighting, and choreography, which you can see very well from rear orchestra. I suspect the best non-premium seats are front mezz, but I haven't sat there (yet).

Great information mariel9.
Thanks so much everyone for your responses.
@Mariel9 thank you so much for your very detailed response to that question about the views from the sides from the closer rows! I could not agree with you more about all the wonderful nuance the actors put into their performances, and that is the one thing I have missed the most in the move to the larger venue from the Public.I saw the show in previews from the rear mezz and appreciated the big picture and especially the scenery, lighting and staging from up there, but I missed the little details of the performances so much.
I have been thinking about buying a couple on the right in the first five rows the next time I go, as opposed to rear orchestra, because I definitely don't want to miss Renee's performance during the first part of Take A Break when she's seated on the stairs but I can't think of anything toooooo significant that happens on the right side of the stage that I might miss. Maybe Anthony Ramos' performance in the Story of Tonight reprise? Hmm.

Hey guys! Just wanted to get someone (or a few people's) insight as to which seats would be better. Orchestra Left Row R Seats 15 and 17, or somewhere in the Front Mezzanine. Thanks!
How is orchestra row E seat 24? A ticket popped up for the end of January so I splurged...
Does anyone know which row begins the stadium seating at the rear of the orchestra? I want to plan another visit and the rear orchestra seems like the way to go. I was in the front mezzanine on Saturday and thought it was too high. UPDATE: I got the answer. It's after Row K.

Hey guys, how are rows T and U in the orchestra? They are the last ones before it says "partial view" but with being only a row or so down from those seats I wanted to know how that would be. And if anyone has sat on the extreme sides in those rows let me know. Thanks a lot. I know there have been a million Hamilton seating questions.
