I don't think his name is going to be a draw. Are they going to add a tagline that reads, "You know, the TEACHER from Glee!"
Was JJ really only on the 2nd season? It's all a blur to me now.

To address the questions/concerns of whether they are keeping a human as Porthos, if you look in the People.com article that was released on the first day of rehearsals, a name tag for "Porthos/Ensemble" was hanging from a music stand in the main photo, so that answers that question. Porthos is still being played by a human.

Well Matthew and Kelli o hara sold out two christmas concerts at Carnegie hall recently so that's a good sign.

Yeah, he was the co-writer of that other show and then Andy Mientus got hit by a truck.
I didn't to imply Morrison is substantially more recognizable than Jordan- in the greater American cultural scene, both are pretty dang low in terms of visibility.
Yes, Jordan was only on season 2 of Smash; I'm currently rewatching the series now.
Neither of them are going to guarantee a damn thing. But Morrison can at least get on talk shows and stuff.
And the human playing the dog is honestly the shot in the foot for this show. That sounds terrible.
I was ok with the human dog. I found it rather endearing throw to Nana, as well as insight in a time when animals weren't considered a member of the family.

Here is a link to an interview Jordan did with the New York Post where he says he was "heartbroken" not to move on with the show.

I thought the human dog worked well because of the nod to Nana in Peter Pan. Too bad Thayne Jasperson isnt going with the show to Broadway.
