I filled out that Google doc and got no such code...wtf.
And the email also said that, as an apology, I would get two reserved seats to Shakespeare in the Park this summer.

Never received a member email either aboutthe whole ordering debacle. Got the same seat selection as macnyc. but I think it'll be fine
Yes, I was thinking of calling the Public and telling them that I had bought without the code, but I think I'll keep what I have. Row N should be good enough.
Just tried. Just getting an error message. Sheesh.

Melissa, yikes!
I just got the apology email, so I guess they're still working on them.
Last season I didn't even get an email notifying me of the "on sale" date so I am glad they at least fixed that. I may now have a chance.

I didn't get one this year, so not entirely fixed... Well, to be fair, I didn't get the renewal e-mail, which is why I then didn't get the on-sale one... not sure why they wouldn't send the on-sale one as a means to prompt renewals, too?!

I'm mainly a lurker - but I also got the email promising reserved seats for Shakespeare in the Park to make up for difficulties booking member tickets. I haven't heard anything from the Public about following through on that offer. Have others heard from the Public about booking those tickets? I want to see A Midsummer Night's Dream more than I wanted to see Julius Caeser, so am curious to hear others' experiences.

Wow, I had forgotten all about this! I would love reserved seats too.

I got my email on Feb. 11. The notice is inside an email with the subject line "Announcing the 2017 season of Free Shakespeare in the Park." It is in its own entire paragraph, but mine also had a deadline of March 31.
Yeah, the deadline to book those seats is long gone...

Ah bummer that I missed that part of the email -- but appreciate your help. Thanks!
I did receive that email but the information was buried. I probably didn't even read it, given the subject line. If the Public didn't want people to take advantage of the offer, they certainly did a good job with that!
Not sure if that deadline stands. After a week into Julius Caesar performances, I followed up and they told me they were booking tickets "now" - honestly, total BS I thought as they hadn't planned to reach out if I hadn't first which I think I'm justified from the lack of communication with regard to both of your cases.
Anyway, they had me provide them with three possible dates that worked and they set aside tickets for me to pick up at the Delacorte. All very seamless apart from my initial frustration. Hopefully you'll get in for Midsummer.
Thanks for this info, dsnookie! I guess this shows that it doesn't hurt to ask. I just emailed the Public requesting two tickets to Midsummer. We'll see! I'll report back.
Thanks for the advice! I just got two tickets!

Seconding the thanks to dshnookie -- I also was just able to get 2 tickets. Thanks so much!
