OMG! Loved this production! IDK if I really need to see this production again, but it's definitely enticing! I guess I need to figure it out by 1pm Tomorrow because I'm sure those $50 tickets will be GONE as soon as they go on sale!
Exciting news, but sort of misleading thread title considering there’s been speculation about a Broadway transfer. There are lots of performances and events inside Broadway theatres that aren’t “on Broadway” in the official industry sense.
But still, very cool that it’s happening, especially since a lot of people missed their performances due to Omicron.

I agree with JBroadway, the OP needs to change this title. I clicked on it expecting news about a revival.
I wish this was a Broadway transfer, but it sort of makes up for those of us who experienced an Omicron cancellation.

Well that was easy-peasy. Not thrilled about all tickets being Will Call, but hopefully this won't be a repeat of the Spring Awakening reunion concert nightmare.
I didn't sleep well last night, stressing over getting these. Luckily that was so much easier than I thought it would be.
Now I might nap.
I'm curious how long it will take to sell out the rest of the $1000/$500 seats.
I was worried the site would crash, but, fortunately, I was able to get the exact $50 seat I wanted.

I was refreshing like a mad man, but snagged dead center in the mezz! Easy breezy

I just noticed that this is up against the LCT benefit with LuPone.

Do ticket prices tend to drop for these things? I can't imagine that they'll sell all house seats for $1,000

Hundreds of tickets remain.

if this is a test for a potential transfer then it doesn't look good
Still don't understand why they would schedule it on the same night as the LCT benefit.

How? The remaining tickets are mostly $500+ much more than a standard Broadway ticket. The lower priced seats sold out in minutes.

True, but theoretically these seats should be "worth" more because the supply is lower, and that would be adjusted in the event of a full run. You're right that it's not a 1-to-1 scale, because there's potentially a large audience of people being priced out of the concert, but I'd still agree with BoringBoredBoard that it's not a good sign for their full transfer prospects.
It's fairly common for benefit concerts like this to have seats around that price point, and consider other recent ones like Ragtime or Spring Awakening were completely booked solid.

But cancellations aside, many people had the opportunity to see this Off Broadway. I would think that’s contributing to the lack of unsold expensive seats.

Probably, but I'd assume that the same logic would also extend to a full run on Broadway.

It also feels like a “step down” from the Off-Broadway production. That was a fully staged production, and this is a staged concert only a few months later at ridiculous prices.
I think this could still transfer to Broadway and do well, this was just a weird event.
