I attended the matinee of Shuffle Along and ushers said that Audra is officially not doing matinees anymore. Don't know if this is old news but figured I'd pass it along.
This is my second time at the show and my second time seeing Darlesia's Lottie and I thought she was lovely. I'm hoping to catch Audra one of these days but Darlesia didn't make me feel like I missed too much!

Is she taking an extended leave anytime soon? I remember hearing about a prior commitment, then of course the pregnancy, but I haven't found any exact info.

She is leaving the show July 21st, she did have a prior commitment for "Lady Day" that had her leaving earlier, but that was ultimately cancelled because of the pregnancy and extended her shuffle run

Uh, Carol Channing did all nine of her shows while pregnant for three years straight and never missed a show??? Where did the professionalism go? No wonder she didn't get a nomination.

Good to know! Friends are coming this summer and have gotten tickets for an evening show.
Does anyone know whether Savion Glover will still be part of the show? If so, has it happened already or is it still in the works?

I thought it was said that Glover would enter the show when Audra departs so it probably hasn't happened just yet

Stopped by the Music Box b.o. today. Audra and Billy were out of the show. They were also selling rush for $40 again.

I see about the no matinee thing, but is she not in the show on Thursday? I happened to look on tele charge & was surprised at the large amount of available tickets for the show (or is it because this was the first week that she was scheduled not to be in the show before the pregnancy announcement)

Oh man, I'd like to know this too since I have a ticket for Thursday. I haven't gotten any e-mails from Telecharge about her being out though.

I shared an elevator with a man holding a playbill for Shuffle Along. He noted that Audra did not perform tonight. He was disappointed. Said Act 1 great... Act 2 a bit weak.

I don't recall the night show that was listed.
It did say no Audra for the matinee show that was listed but don't remember seeing that listed for the evening performance that was on sale.

She wasn't scheduled to be out yesterday. Telecharge called customers yesterday to let them know. There was also a huge line for returns, so I don't think anyone knew in advance.
