I was wondering how all of you got into Bare intially?
Our conversation went more like this:

apgal-hey we should go see Bare
Mes- whats Bear about
Sterling11(who NEVER posts)- if its gonna be like ministry of proggress I dont want to see it!
Mes- Is it Bear like roar or Bare like naked boys singing
Apgal-Neither Bare like Bare your soul

I first got into Bare, honestly, through MoG and Trisky. My initial thought was "Ooh, pretty boys." Then I looked at the website, and thought "OOOH LIBBY FROM SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH!" Then I looked through some pictures and squealed "EEE! MUSH FROM NEWSIES/DEAN PORTMAN FROM D2!"

Then, of course, I met Jenna (<3 my BFF, right trisky?) and Michael at the broadway flea market, and purchased the CD sampler, and totally fell in love.

And then, because I have the worst luck in the world, 2 weeks later, I finally had a whole thing set up, was about to buy tickets for the opening weekend for me and a friend...and bam! MoG posts in her livejournal about the indefinite delay. But oh well! Happy thoughts, positive thoughts. Updated On: 10/14/04 at 11:15 AM

I swear I'm not a grammar/spelling fanatic! Most of the time... LOL Only when it's really obvious, like trying to change your screenname for instance.

And in the interest of keeping this Bare related, I was wondering how all of you got into Bare intially? I mean, so many of you haven't even seen the show yet so how did you become obsessed with it?

Ok, well, kinda stupid but funny. For some reason, I decided to read broadway.com's article on bare one day. I don't remember why, but I just checkedt out. Maybe the title intrigued me? LOL

Anyways, I saw that magic 3 letter word in the article, and HAD to check it out! :-P

Went to the site, heard the tunes, fell in love, found this thread, and I blame my obsession on the founding fathers of said thread!

Completely fell in love with it, and then found this site and this thread. As I learned more about the show from you guys, I got even more obsessed, and that brings us to today...

How did I first learn about bare? I read an article on Playbill Online about it, and then checked out the website. Downloaded the sampler CD, and I've been hooked ever since. Then I "met" you people. Oy! I spend more time reading the BWW message boards than I do doing work during the day. You're like crack, I swear!

That's what I said! Just so no one feels left out... somehow we got onto the discussion of Gollum and Jar Jar (I have no idea how) at the afterparty for Standing Ovations and it was revealed that half of us (myself, friend Nick and Newcomer...er SCBWannabe) haven't seen either Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, which MoG and Eddie find utterly shameful.

Now I know how 2day4u feels when he doesn't understand most of my cultural references.

So about Michael's "news", part of me is hoping he got another role or something like that (good for him, if he did) the other part of me dreads hearing that (bad me), still another part of me would love to see him in another role if I can't see him in Bare anytime soon (good for me).

Of course the best of all possible worlds is that it would be a short run in a role until such time that Bare gets its funding when he'll just plop himself back in. Yes, that would be best. Could we arrange that? Thanks.

("You may say I'm a dreamer..." - heaven help me if 2day4us doesn't understand that reference)

You know it's funny, I had to attend a Financial Freedom seminar this afternoon (*snooze*) and they were talking about the steps you need to take in order to have a secure financial future, including monthly sacrifices and now I realize as long as Michael keeps singing, there is absolutely no hope of this EVER HAPPENING in my lifetime. *sigh* Michael, why you gotta be so expensive? It's almost time for the holidays, give a working girl a break, throw a free concert or something. I'm sure we could reserve a street corner somewhere.

In New York, it's WOR AM 710. It's apparently syndicated nationally to over 100 stations, but I can't find a list of all of them. Google never failed me so spectacularly before. I'm going to cancel my gmail account in protest.

Anyway, it'll be Ryan and I talking with Joey, and Michael Arden, Euan Morton and Eric Millegan will be singing the songs they'll sing in our upcoming benefit. Tune in and listen if you're awake.
