After listening to the promo tracks for many many days now, I find something new to like each time I listen. After going to the bare cast concert in NYC, I am definitely hooked. I can't wait for my next trip to NYC to see the show.
I have to say that my favorite line of any from the music is from "See Me" (a song which I am sure many can relate to)
"Peter, you tend to dramatize..."
"There's a reason for that, Mother... Open Your Eyes!!!"
Just my 2cents--

Yes, those lines are done very well onstage (I love how Michael sings them). A tiny bit of comedy in a very tense, dramatic scene.

Speaking of "See Me"...
For those of you who were lucky enough to see the original run, can you give me a brief overview of how "See Me" was staged? I have my own version in my head of how I'd do it, so I'd like to find out how it was actually done. Thanks!
I don't know if this is what you wanted, but here goes:
Stage right is Peter in his dorm room (only major set piece is his wooden desk, with a framed picture of his mom and him). Peter, standing, calls his mother Claire with his cellphone. Stage left (once the spotlight comes on) is Claire, who answers with her cellphone.
Pretty much the rest of the song is done with them standing at different ends of the stage (although Peter is more stage-center), conversing over the phone.
When the song ends and Claire begins "Warning," the lights dim on Peter, and he gets bathed in a blue afterglow light. While Claire continues to sing, Peter takes the framed picture on his table sits down on the floor, his back against his desk. For the rest of the song, Peter is sitting on the floor, staring at the framed picture. Right before Claire finishes her last line, he gets up, brushes off his pants, and exits upstage.

I was planning on early december but I dont know if I can wait...also I just read on broadway.com that kearran is going to be starring in debbie allens new show beehives on broadway. I didnt read the whole article but saw her name and thought that was pretty cool.
In related news, i was asking my friend if he new anything about BARE and he says, "Oh no I havent heard anything from it, but a few kids from my school are in it!" In shock I respond, "WHAT WHO?" He says non-chalantly, Adam and Kearran! not fair.

AG is BACK!
I can't believe I missed the 1000th post...I've been in Massachusetts ARGH!
Anyway, I NEED TO HEAR THAT INTERVIEW!!! I just caught the end before. Great for BARE to be on that list, it's great publicity. Oh Michael Arden...I cannot express my utter admiration for you...and if anyone from the cast is reading (The Adamness...eh hem) you can surely tell him everything I say
I listened to the sampler everywhere I went in MA, it never ceases to amaze me.
PM me with the interview anyone???
Massachusetts.....teehehe
Anyways, I wanted to throw in my amazement at something. I think the finale to Bare is one of the most amazing musical moments I have ever heard. It gives me the chills every time, and I just can't stop listening to it. Those harmonies are so haunting. Anyways, yeah.....October can't come soon enough.
What are you teehee-ing about 2day4u???
"No Voice" is amazing. It builds and builds with every "Dear Jason..." and then Michael/Peter starts his "Dear Jason..." and I break down, everytime just listening to it. Imagine finding your true love at a young age, then having it tragically taken away from you? *chills* Simply amazing. This show hits so many levels for me.

I wish...I actually went to a funeral, don't worry it was a great aunt I never met or knew of, but I also got to listen to my Republican extended-family members bash gay marriage as I sat in strained silence. Ugh.
