Question for all of you "veteran" theatergoers... I was planning a trip to NYC over Thanksgiving weekend, and I thought I'd see bare during this trip. Can anyone comment on cast during holiday performances?? (as in, will understudies be filling several roles during holiday performances, as the lead actors will go home for the holidays-- or do they treat these performances just as important as any other??) Since I live in Arkansas and don't have the luxury of going to NYC that often (although I was just there a couple of weeks ago)-- I hate to come up to find that the cast is out and the understudies are filling in.

Bumping this thread, how dare we let it go to the middle of the second page!
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the actors treat the shows the same way they would any other show. Of course an actor being out is always a risk you'll take around the holidays, but give understudies a chance, they're not as horrible as you think. I'm sure you'd ideally like to see all the leads, but there's always a risk even when it's not a holiday.

And yeah, my mom was talking with some friends who own a local music hall, and apparently one of the regular performers there originated the role of the "soccer mom" in Bare. Her name is Beth Thompson if that helps anyone out.....

Yeah, I'll need to get used to the short hair too, it'll be longer by September though.
That's Gavin Creel with Mikey, he originated the role of Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, he got a Tony nom for it too. Amazingly talented, and very good looking

I am too lazy to read the 43 pages of this post, but I was wondering is there an OBCR for BARE out yet? I want to listen to it because you all have me interested in it now.

I just got home (2 37 am)! AHHH amazing pictures! Haha Michael and Gavin!!!! When i was looking at the pics i stopped and stared for a good 5 mins! So amazing!!!
