That's what I thought... but was it also in a play? It was a weird thing to be at the Roundabout table (if I'm remembering that right). They had a bunch too, like at least 5, so it wasn't a one-off oddity.

Today was my first time going to this, and I had a good time. I was in the neighborhood by 8:45 and 9:15 most of the booths started selling. I would just wish that everyone at each booths knew the pricing-Some items I was looking at took 4 different people to come up with a starting price. And they really need to put the booths that they know will draw a line all day-Evan Hansen, Mean Girls, etc- in spots where a line can form without blocking other booths.

Some favorites from the day:

Opening Night Gifts from Magaritaville-2/$3

Second Stage Hard Hat-$5

Come From Away Toronto Opening Night Tote-$5

Once Beanie and Bernadette Dolly Insert-$5

Broadway Green Alliance Used Marquee Lightbulbs-4/$1

Bombshell Concert Bumper Stickers-4/$1

Jujamcyn Backpack-$20 (I've been after one of these for quite some time)

Bought the Show-Sepcial Squigs Cards, with a Danny Burstein-Signed Moulin Rogue, and got The Prom card signed by Chris, Beth, Caitlin, and Angie-Just missed Brooks

And, while I didn't intend to bid on anything today, wound up winning the cast-singed Urinetown shirt from the auction that Jen Cody donated this morning. I actually wound up spending a few hours milling about the auction stage, and really enjoyed myself- Shubert Alley wound up being not too busy for the most part, and the folks on stage kept things entertaining.

Wow! I didn't see any items from My Fair Lady when I went (I arrived after 6pm.... when most vendors were already packing up.) I did watch the remainder of the live auction and felt it wasn't as exciting as last year's (when people had a bidding war for Springsteen opening night party tix and Ben Platt's last performacne and Bette's last performance.) This year, I think one of the exciting ones was the auction for Mean Girls --- when 2 teenagers and their parent were trying to outbid each other! The auctioneer stopped and even commented he wishes he had that kind of allowance! lol

Roundabout had an interesting setup this year, they had an actual Roundabout Table which didn't have much merchandise, just information about the upcoming season and a few show posters and then there was another table actually selling Roundabout merchandise from all the previous shows such as mugs/keychains/journals/stress balls...

I thought one of the weirdest finds was a cigarette lighter from the Encores Damn Yankees (2009) going for  50 bucks, I loved that production but was surprised that wasn't going for 5 bucks tops (it was end of the day also).

My post with what I bought seems to have not posted earlier. Hmm...

My haul:

A sign from Mean Girls that reads "#FollowMe I'm the line for the ladies room"

Sunday in the Park With George tee

Cabaret hoodie

Ornament made by one of the kids from School of Rock

Hello, Dolly! Program booklet

School of Rock program booklet

Company OBC CD

Many sippy cups

And a few odds and ends of office supply stuff.

I do agree that the merchandise wasn't the most exciting for the most part. Like I used to get so many cast recordings, but it was a lot of not that kind of stuff. And the end of the day bargains were barely there. Or maybe I just came back too late.

I had a fantastic time at the flea this year - the weather was much more pleasent than last year, and the crowds were malleable compared to last years insane lines (even themost crowded shows this time around seemed streamlined). I managed to grab all of these for under $150.

  • Original Window cards from Escape to Margaritaville, Bonnie and Clyde, and a full original cast signed Groundhog Day.
  • Flyer for Mark Ballas in Kinky Boots before they put the closing date on
  • 3 Waitress pie magnets handmade by a stagehand
  • A Stephen Flaherty signed Little Dancer program from the Kennedy Center
  • Signed Garen Scribner American in Paris dance shoes (my roommate surprised me with these before we went to lunch and I nearly yelled in the middle of the street)
  • An American in Paris Plexiglass Preview poster from the theatre (this thing is 4 feet tall and it was the first thing I bought. I carried it like a trophy for hours and it was worth it)
  • Tyne Daly’s It Shoulda Been You leather and suede jacket
  • Various playbills
    • The Royal Family
    • The Father
    • 4000 Miles, full color
    • Holiday Inn
    • Six Degrees of Separation
    • Clybourne Park
    • Les Liasons Dangerous, full color
    • Sylvia
    • Dame Edna - Back with a Vengeance
    • A View From the Bridge
    • Dance of the Vampires, signed by Michael Crawford, full color
  • a Holiday Inn fleece pullover
  • Pretty Woman opening night chocolates
  • Anastasia bookmark
  • The letters Mary Beth Peil/The Dowager Empress reads to discover the Romanovs have been executed at the top of Act 1 of Anastasia. Handwritten by Caroline O'Conner.
  • Paramour program book
  • Holiday Inn flyer
  • An American in Paris opening night card
  • Lights of Broadway card pack
  • Pretty Woman opening night chocolates
  • Amelie enamel pins
  • Bernadette as Dolly magnet
  • Escape to Margaritaville New Orleans shirt
  • Gluten Free M&M Chocolate Chip cookie made by Max Von Essen
  • signed Max Von Essen as Gleb Vaganov in Anastasia card
  • South Pacific 2008 Zip Up and Hat
  • Christy Altomare’s cronuts

I didn't manage to find a few things on my list (Bernadette as Dolly windowcard, Tuck Everlasting windowcard, unsigned Pretty Woman windowcard (this was bizarre to me not to find - I'll swing by the theatre to get a full price one this week but I'm shocked they weren't available) but I am very very happy with my haul <3

I'll post my flea haul here! I was there from 9:20 (a booth was open) to about 4:30. I also had a friend who traded with me a bit... Ready?

-Newsies Broadway Window Card

-Fun Home Off-Broadway Window card

-Great Comet Mailer

-In the Heights Pre-Broadway

-Spring Awakening Pre-Broadway

-Falsettos, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Waitress (with flyer), Opening Night

-The Band's Visit Pre-Broadway

-Hamilton, Kinky Boots, and Next to Normal OBC

-A Bronx Tale at Papermill

-Ghost Quartet at NYTW

-Shrek, Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, Les Miserables, and Something Rotten

-Second Stage and Kindness Day Hansen flyers (as well as Days of Rage and Head over Heels new)

-Fan Day ticket sleeve of Hansen

-Mean Girls cup signed by Barrett

-Great Comet T-Shirt

-Mean Girls "We make fetch happen" T-Shirt

-Connor Murphy undershirt from Mike Faist run, "Fake News Editor" T-Shirt from Will Roland run in Dear Evan Hansen

-Lights of Broadway Flea 2018 pack

And I also hit the selfie stage with Fankhauser and Kara, took photos with Barrett and Nikil, and got a cupcake from School of Rock. Maybe I was just lucky, but this year was an amazing haul. PS, lots of this was from Dancing over 40, which was the strongest table with every rare I got.

As for crowds, they were alright but I agree with the lined being routed awfully. Not only that, but Mean Girls was very poorly managed when Barrett showed up, and people pushed to the front very often.

I had a great time, as usual. I took a red eye back from a wedding in LA just to be there at the start. I had to miss it for travel last year... Never again!

There were definitely some interesting curiosities if you kept your eyes open, but they are increasingly few and far between. A lot of it is just luck and being in the right place at the right time.

My haul:

-Opening night gift from the original Broadway production of Les Miz in 1987- an engraved pewter wine chalice- $40
-First edition Assassins and paperback Sweeney Todd libretti both signed by Stephen Sondheim- $50
-Seven foot-long A Chorus Line poster with a picture of every cast, commentating when it became the longest-running musical- $10
-Once On This Island OBCR vinyl record signed by Flaherty and Ahrens
-Livent hard hat from the unveiling of the Ford Center for the Performing Arts- $5
-Angels in America Playbill signed by the entire revival cast- $5
-The Theatre Posters of James McMullan coffee table book- $2
-Playbill from the 1980s flop musical, The Wind in the Willows, starring a young Nathan Lane- $2
-Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark mousepad- $1

Posters:
-The Rink 3-sheet- $20
-Joan Rivers in Sally Marr and Her Escorts window card- $20! (Sorry to the other poster from earlier in the thread... )
-Bob Fosse’s Big Deal window card- $25
-Framed, original Marat/Sade window card- $15
-Diary of Anne Frank window card, signed by Natalie Portman and the full cast- $35
-Starlight Express window card with full credits- $25
-Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark pre-Broadway window card- $25
-Paul Davis Three Penny Opera rolled poster- $10
-Charles Strouse’s Marty window card, starring John C. Reilly- $5
-In the Heights OBC window card- $5
-Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson Broadway window card $5
-Sleep No More window card- $5
-A Doll’s House Part Two window card- $5
-Sutton Foster in Anything Goes window card- $5
-War Paint window card- $5
-Mamma Mia pre-Broadway window card- $5
-Paul Davis For Colored Girls... window card- $5
-James Earl Jones/Christopher Plummer Othello window card- $5

I wish I could’ve made my money go a little farther, but I agree that some of the tables were being really stingy in not wanting to mark stuff down at the end of the day. They ended up leaving with a lot unsold. I too got the “it’s for charity” line, which I found rather obnoxious, considering the three giant bags full of purchases I was lugging around all day. Why not get something for the cause rather than just lug boxes back to the office?

I got a few things including the 709 Sunday advertisement poster for $100.

I was seeing a show when the creative goods table cleaned up. I was wondering if anyone grabbed duplicate items they would be willing to sell.

Magnets, pins, window cards, show related knickknacks, programs, cups...if so please message me or post what extras you have and I'll do the same. Thanks.

I almost forgot my other big item. It was a fake Tony award given to the cast of Spiderman: Turn off the Dark as an opening night gift.

I also got a Once Christmas ornament for free somewhere because they had 2 boxes of them that were forgotten to be put out at the end of the day. Was hoping for more things like this then. Heck, nobody was even very enthusiastic about end of the day sales, which has happened in past years.

Random question, but did ANYONE find anything from the 2009 revival of Hair? At the last minute I couldn't go to Flea so I had some people digging around for me. I normally look on eBay but there's not really much coming up.

I didn't see any HPCC items aside from the mentioned tote bag. Not quite sure why they didn't have a table.

I'm so sad that I missed My Fair Lady! I was really curious about what they'd have. Let's see...

Neva Club Anasttasia opening night shot glass

Christy's cronuts (I went early specifically so I could try them because I hadn't been able to last year)

A Carousel magnet

Two Amelie shirts for $2 each! I had to-the high school I went to is performing it. One tank top that just says Amelie and a t-shirt that says Amelie on the front and "The Time Is Right For Dreamers" on the back

A Public Theater magnet that says "All Are Welcome Here"

A Bombshell T-shirt

A Broadway Cares towel

Hurt Locker and Little Miss Sunshine Playbills

Souvenir program from Carousel

Posters: Sweeney Todd, Hair 50th anniversary celebration, Bright Star

A serving tray with a whole bunch of Broadway show logos on it

A sweater that might have been worn by Laura Dreyfuss in Dear Evan Hansen,. but when I went back to the table later in the day, she told me a lot of the stuff was cut from being used in the show, so that was kind of a let down, but it's so cozy, I'm fine with that. Plus it was a bargain for the company it was from (…Free People? I got it for $10, I think).

My only photos of the day:

Erika and Barrett from Mean Girls

An actor from the revival of Sweeney Todd at the Barrow Street Theater

Overall, I'm very happy with my haul this year. I am sad I didn't get a OOTI goat, but I also couldn't afford to get a ticket to the show, and wasn't that the only way to get one? I'm sad I didn't get one-I really love the show.

Also--just curious--what kind of things did My Fair Lady have to offer?

"Besides the odd item here and there, it was a lot of the same and the same seemed extremely overpriced and even as of a couple minutes ago, tables (I’m looking at you Head Over Heels & Pretty Woman) "

Yes... and asking about a possible bargain at both tables at around 6PM, I was greeted with two rather ...um... rude (another word I'd like to use, but I'm a gentleman) replies... A rather smug woman at the HOH booth gave me a "well, of course not! It's a collector's item. At that price, it's a steal." At Pretty Woman, the guy just laughed at me...

Still, I found some great things for gifts for friends... one of whom reads these boards, so my lips are sealed!

Best "bargain" The Once On This Island Tony Voter "virtual reality" box. At one table , it was $25.  Three tables down, it was $5. Sold!

Funniest thing... the cast hawking DEH prop casts for $5!! Last year they were in the hundreds...And this was at about noon. How the mighty have fallen. Mean Girls was the mob scene this year... next year Be More Chill.

The cast for five dollars was actually the entry fee for a raffle to win the cast. They did a similar raffle last year.

Still I was surprised at the relative lack of traffic at the DEH table throughout the day.

The daughter and I had a great time.

Some of my finds:

Barry Manilow Concert lobby "plaque" that showed the dates and times.

Hal Prince signed original On the 20th Century poster from his office. (From the Directors and Choreographers booth)

Fun Home Step and Repeat banner

Mamma Mia Platinum album for the cast recording

Mean Girls opening night acrylic with graphic and cast listing

Debra Monk signed Olivier Award certificate

Kiss Me Kate upcoming revival signed poster

A Hollywood Star Walk of Fame pin from Tyne Daly's table

plus posters, magnets, Hello Dolly stuff and got my picture with Norm Lewis and Ashley Park screamed in my daughter's ear.  My daughter was not happy about that.

Best line of the day---A group of women were walking down the sidewalk and one said, "I'm going to set up a booth next year, I could make some money from some of my stuff"  The other woman replied, "We could use that for our trip next year".  I don't think they understood it was for charity.  :)

The DEH cast was $500 if you wanted one outright but $5 to enter the raffle.

I came after 6pm and one of the tables was quite generous with the sippy cups. I think one was $3 but I was able to buy 8 for $10... .and on top of that they gave me 2 extra just to get rid of inventory. I plan to use them next time I have bway friends over to my place for drinks (each sippy cup is from a different show so it's an easy way to identify which drink is which person's!)
