I loved it, but nothing is loved by everybody.

Is there a discount code for this? I thought I had one from a mailer but looks like it expired.

There were a few (BECKY, SHAWBILL2ST, SHAWMANIA2ST) but yes, it looks like none of them are working anymore, probably because there's only a month left in the run.

Was my first show of the trip and I LOVED IT!
It's my favorite kind of play which is about us and the way we do our relationships, and even tho not everything is very current, it is a very well done study about modern way of creating bonds.
The action never stops, the text and the direction has this beautiful flow and the cast is perfect.
I would say Patrick Ball maybe was the least perfect, but still!
Lauren Patten deserved way more attention than what she got for this, and there isn't a single thing I can say about Alden Ehrenreich that has not being said already.
All his choices, maneirisms, presence... fits so perfectly that I'm surprise it's his Broadway debut.
Fantastic production and between this and ''In the Heights'', I really need to see ''Ruined'' on the stage to understand the Pulitzer judges.

I thought it would be SRO, another "Appropriate" that might move or at least extend thru the summer with the reviews. But it looks like this is the only run, the lead male actors needing to return to other work. Too bad. It's a helluva play, and these roles could change hands successfully.

This cast is part of the success of the show. This is the cast to see with this direction.

I didn’t like this at all so Im in the minority here. This was amusing but not nearly as funny to me as others describe. It’s not nearly as funny or as biting as the Ballusters or Fallen Angels or Eureka Day. The only performances I liked were Ehrenreich and Edmond and while Edmond’s delivery was ethe funniest aspect of the play, and I suppose she ended up as the therapist they all need, I felt like I had seen the no nonsense mother who who turns the table on the younger generation something I’ve been many times before. Patrick Ball is doing the same things here as he does in the Pitt. There was nothing in the performance that made me see what Suzanna saw in him. I kept wondering why she was committed to a relationship with the dull rebound guy. I wonder if Ehrenreich’s dominating performance is so good that it throws the show off balance - I found him compelling and Patton had way more chemistry with him than she did with Ball's character. And I kept wishing Becky Shaw would disappear — when she shows up again I felt like I was watching a less feral version of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

Yay for Alden at the Drama Desks! Hopefully this is a precursor to the Tony awards!

This is one of the more interesting plays I’ve seen in quite some time. For the first twenty minutes or so, I genuinely could not decide whether I was on board with the story, the characters, or even the humor. But once Becky Shaw herself enters in the second scene, you can practically feel the audience lean in as the play suddenly clicks into place.
The show is unapologetically offensive and packed with dark, razor-sharp humor. If that’s your kind of comedy, as it is mine, chances are you’ll have a great time with this play. If darker humor isn’t your thing, though, this probably won’t be your cup of tea.
The entire cast is terrific, with Alden Ehrenreich being the standout, largely due to the fact that he gets the juiciest material to work with. It is also always a pleasure to see Linda Emond onstage, and she delivers some especially strong moments toward the end of the play.
Like I said, this definitely won’t work for everyone, but I found plenty to enjoy and laughed a lot throughout.

Alden Ehrenreich has the "juiciest material". Yes, he does - BUT what he does with the material is what makes this performance so stellar. He makes it work with smart balance. On paper this role is not easy and rarely executed well.
Trip Cullman should have been nominated for his direction over Kenny Leon. The scene changes alone are smarter & more creative - and the gets a harder play to work very well. His cast succeeds in spades due to the tight and tonally solid direction.
