It should have found a comfy berth Off-Broadway at the New World or similar.  I'll bet it would have had a nice run in that case.

Does anyone know how rush has been this week since they've announced closing? I wanted to try and squeeze this show in before they closed.. I tried rushing a few times last month or so but they wouldn't sell me tickets at a rush price even though there were plenty of seats available. I can't make it to the box office right when they open, so do you think they'd be more willing to sell tickets at a rush price since they're closing?

I got to the box office as it opened this morning.
There were about 10 people ahead of me. I asked for
a seat close to the front and he gave me front row side aisle
for the matinee.
Laugh out loud funny - stellar cast. You'd never know Will
Swenson was a recent sub. He was hysterical. See it if
you can. Sad to see it close so abruptly.

I saw it recently and it was a hoot. I would have thought Disaster was tailor-made for the tourist crowd.  Guess not!

Yesterday at the HAMILTON lottery, they had people standing around with flyers for lottery losers (pretty much everybody in the crowd lol) that said $30 for ANY seat in the house today only! I'm not sure if they are going to do this everyday this week, but, worth noting if anyone's interested. :)

Rushed this morning.  The ticket guy came out and told us that someone bought out the theater for this evenings performance but offered us rush for tomorrow's show.  So that's what I did- front row orchestra. I'm thinking it will be cheesy good fun like Xanadu.

Cheesy fun is exactly how I would describe it! It's not a good show by any means, but I laughed far more than I expected to.

For anyone interested, yesterday at Ham4Ham, I was handed a flyer offering $30 dollar seats anywhere in the house. If you want to see Disaster! cheap before it closes, make your way over to Ham4Ham?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I walked in with zero expectations and I walked out enjoying the stupidity I saw. Though I do like Xanadu more.

Actually, I think your chances are fine.  The line wasn't long (maybe 10 people) and half of them left after the announcement.  I would go for it.  I was fifth in line and got two tickets in row A.

Wait, what? I went a little after 10 and he told me someone had bought out the theatre but not that they were selling rush for tomorrow. He just said there'd still be rush later in the week. Sigh... now I have to go out there again.
