And there they start... I kinda wanted to see this, just because it seemed so crazy.
Awkward for roger Bart. He'll be coming back without a job.

Too bad. I thought I'd see this in a few weeks because Simard's is the only nominated performance I won't have seen come Tony time. Guess not. Oh well. Not like she's favored to win or anything. This and Hughie are the only nominated shows I will have not seen--and Hughie was just for set design. So I did pretty well. :)
Maybe he knew it was happening and bailed early.
Shocking that it lasted so long with those grosses. Did they think they might get more Tony noms...?

They're New York Times critics pick might have given them false hope...
Does anyone know why they stopped selling any tickets on Ticketmaster for the rest of the run? I wanted to see it and the news of it closing really spurred me on - so it was quite a surprise. I'm sure they aren't playing to a packed house every night and probably would've gotten butts in the seats with the news...

Or maybe, you know, since he is still coming back for the last two days he just had a commitment like they originally announced?
Not aware of that.

Maybe to give people who have tickets for shows that are now canceled a chance to swap them out and see it this week
EDIT: I just looked and I see plenty of tickets available for sale
Should never attempted Broadway. It should have attempted off broadway from the very beginning. It might have had a shot there . Do not see it on tdf or any papering sites.

Thanks so much! I don't know why it wasn't coming up before...
I'm ecstatic that they're recording an album.
Well that was a disaster.
Seth just posted this on Facebook, it seems they are making a cast recording!
YES! The bad news is we're closing before our July closing date. BUT we're making a CD!!!!
AND, the best news.... we got the show licensed!!!!...meaning it will done again!!!!
Come see DISASTER this week on Broadway and then in a city near you!!!!
Thanks for all the unbelievably kind messages of support and love.
AND OMG BRAVA JENN SIMARD!!!!!
Love,
SETH

I'm shocked it lasted as long as it did....
Not sure why they closed this week instead of the last week or the week before...
Did someone finally realize this was an endless money bleed?
I think this show has really tarnished Seth's reputation as a removed appreciator of Broadway talent.

it did, it had a several months long run at St Lukes in 2013
I meant a real off Broadway venue along the lines of NWS or something similar.

I'm guessing they were holding on to hope that they'd get a few Tony nominations?
I was looking forward to a epic battle in the Best Musical category with the front runner. Oh well.

Very possible Drama. Even so, they had to know Simard was their only hope, right?
When it comes to this show, the only thing that seems to make sense is that nothing makes sense.
This will do great regionally I bet
