So, understudy board was grossly over filled. We ran into Leslie before the show, she loved my jacket. Ego boost. Onto the show? Mamie and Leslie still did their ensemble roles until about 5 minutes before they had to come on as Vivienne and Elle. They even ran back up as Delta Nus for "So Much Better". Mamie was HILARIOUS! "Your heart is on the floor!" She mimicked a heart going onto the floor, spit, and then stomped on it. She had good character. Reminded me of a mix of Orfeh and Gaelen Gilliland, but better than Gaelen, if that makes sense.. Alex Ellis was hilarious. Disappointed I didn't see Rhiannon, but Alex was pretty original. She played dead during Omigod when she says "ONLY NO ONE DIES!" and fell down. Leslie McDonel impressed me! She riffed her high note during the curtain call. LAUREN was AMAZING. SO GLAD I didn't have to see Becky! She riffed a little bit in the first act, and a few more times in the second act. No Elle really did riff much. DB Bonds and Jeff McLean... idk. Seems like Jeff wasn't good looking enough, and DB was TOO good looking. Oh, there was a guy up on the bars during the end of "So Much better" He sang a few bars but then stopped.. A majority of the inmates were in drag. Very interesting show, but I loved it! Colleen doesn't really look like a drag queen like everyone said. Not until she came out of the stage door, anyway. Sara was pretty good as Serena! Can't compare her to Cortney, but she was good! Hope the review was good enough. if you have any specific questions feel free to ask! Oh, and a new Elle u/s has been hired because apparently Becky will be out for a long time. More than 2 weeks. They can't say who but I have money on Autumn or Kate.
Lauren will not be going on for Becky's entire absence. They're bringing someone from outside the company in.
They are also rumored to be bringing Kate Rockwell in (I heard) as a temporary additional Elle cover during all of this injury-related mayhem.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Does anyone acutally know how long Becky will be out? All of this 2 weeks, 6 weeks, etc...are there any sources? I feel like with injuries it's always a play it by ear kinda thing and sometimes things heal quickly while other times it takes longer...
But I REALLY hope Becky is back when the show comes to Austin, haha I've been wanting to see her in the role since it's been on Broadway.
Backstage and stagedoor: Me: "So, you're the only elle for two weeks?" Lauren: "Becky will be out for a long time.......... we'll see." Me: "Are the hiring anyone new?" Lauren: "I'm not allowed to say anything until it's announced."
Andrewcomp, can you tell us more about Lauren's Elle? How did she play the character? Did she land most of the jokes? Did her voice hold up throughout the show?
I loved her Elle. Most of her comedic timing was good. Her voice held up throughout. Riffed a bit more than Elle's usually do. Acting wise, she was very good. Not to mention, she looks the part!
It's Laura Bell. Read Laura Bells momm's facebook status

I'm guessing they will be announcing she will be on tour for a little bit. I tried to post it as a new thread and I think it got deleted cause it was leeking information. We'll see!!
