Do you think there should be a movie musical version of Beetlejuice?

I thought the musical was fine at best, but completely unmemorable. By the time the show was over there was very little of the music that stuck with me, and what little that had was gone by the next morning. Putting on the screen would only invite further comparisons to the original, and I can't imagine that it won't be a detriment to the musical.
If that’ll make the kids STFU about this show, I’m al for it.
Honestly would probably prefer this to the Mean Girls musical adaptation that is apparently in the pipeline. It would be... interesting.
But I could pretty much instantly count off so many other movie adaptations I'd rather see beforehand/instead.

There is no such thing as SHOULD about these things. If someone thinks they can make money at the box office, they'll do it - and by "someone" I mean producers and studios.
The score is one of the worsts I’ve ever heard on broadway, I can’t imagine any wide audience liking it.
