And I was looking forward to the new Dolly. And Mozart In The Jungle was charming. Too bad. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/mozart-jungle-canceled-at-amazon-four-seasons-1100660
Sad news about the show. But I don’t know if that 100% means that she would extend with Dolly!, does it?
I'm sure yesterday's announcement of MOZART IN THE JUNGLE's cancellation will put a possible extension offer on the table this coming week. Along with this will be a nice re-negotiation for her so it could be appetizing for her unless she already has other projects on her agenda. MOZART was just one of many projects she's attached to.

So all that talk about a recording artist already slated to take over is probably not true?
Ugh. I guess if she extends it will be a while before I go back to Yonkers.
Sad about her show, but I hope she extends, I love her Dolly.

I don't know. She seemed pretty bored with it this past Thursday night. The whole thing was a little stale. I was hoping for some new blood. While watching the show I kept thinking on how everyone was saying they should wait to see it when she has settled into the role. She has settled alright. Settled into automatic pilot. And this was my first time seeing the show with her in which the title number got no standing ovation. Maybe just a bad night. But I am not going back till there is someone new.
Sounds like a bad night. Bette had some too. Peters was on fire the night I saw her and received a huge standing ovation during the title number.

When did you see her George? I also saw the show two Wednesdays ago and thought things were a little off. I will write my thoughts later this week. Just got back home last night.
I saw her in late February. It was right after they opened.

I share your thoughts. I saw her a couple weeks into her run, and I didn’t care for her performance at all. I LOVE this production, but I won’t be going back until there is a new Dolly.
I love Bernadette, but she was my least favorite of the three Broadway Dollys so far. Also hoping for a new Mrs. Levi soon.

"I was also there Thursday night and i don’t think this is the cae. It was my 4th time seeing her in the role and i thought she was wonderful.. and she did receive a full standing ovation in the orchestra. The audience was one of the more better ones i have seen with her.
I don't know. I think they still bring in Buckley for two months before the tour kicks off.

I am in agreement. But I don’t think the show being a little stale right now is entirely her fault. Victor Garber is a cardboard box up there. He is giving her nothing. And the replacement Cornelius disappears into the scenery. No wonder she seems bored.
I gotta say I'm a little tired of reading here that Ms. Peters is this 'n that based on whether or not the title number got a standing ovation or not. I don't remember her getting one the night I saw her and I thought she was lovely in the role. Additionally, Ethel Merman never got a standing ovation after the title song the 4 times I saw her in the role. As we a know these days, standing ovations are usually for the audience member who shelved out premium prices for a ticket and wants to make their night a night THEY will never forget. I love this production and I have never stood after the Dolly number-Ms. Midler included.
I enjoyed Midler and Murphy more than Ms. Peters myself but the show is still worth going to and to be enjoyed.
How long is her current contract?

July 15th, I think.

Who said "she is this or that based on whether or not the title number got a standing ovation or not" ???
I simply said she got no standing ovation after the title number. And for me when I gave Bette and Donna standing ovations they were joyous and well deserved. It was euphoric and magical. It had nothing to do with what I paid for my ticket.
This thread has quite comically become an AA meeting for those that didn’t enjoy Bernadette LOL.

I wouldn’t go that far. You’re just a little bit biased.

Did she say she couldn't extend because of Mozart? Or is this whole thread just a wild invention?

Mozart usually would have gone into production late July.

Mozart did get cancelled. Bernadette is signed to Dolly thru July. What part of the thread did you think was invention? It’s speculation based on recent news. just like 90 percent of all other threads here.

That two pieces of true information are related. Plus, the OP even said it was "Too bad," as though they were even upset about their own invented narrative.
