There are 19 year olds who are mature. There are 19 year olds who are not mature. Phil's board persona is not mature. I would like to think he is atypical. I think his "certainty" about things - frequently based on nothing - is damaging to his self and his professed career goals. It is odd that his certainty so often comes up against his own ignorance. Hopefully, his teachers will whip him into shape for his sake and for the sake of those around him. After all, the problem with youth is that it is wasted on the young. (I tried to find the exact quote and author - but my google searches suggest that the quote and authorship are disputed)

rude is an adjective. Idiot is a noun. rude isn't name calling. Plus rude is being respectfully mean. Idiot is just flat out evil

I think Gatelli was recognized because he was recreating the Robbins choreography, which he did very well.

For those of you who are confused as to why Christopher Gattelli is nominated for his work on THE KING AND I is because he re-staged Robbin's choreography in the Vivian Beamount in Lincoln Center which is without a doubt, the most difficult Broadway theater to stage anything (the thrust stage is a big part of it). Which is why he's honored here, I hope either he, Joshua Bergasse, or Christopher Wheeldon wins the Best Choreography award.

"What other plays in the past, if any, have been nominated for best choreo?"
That's a good question. I know it's only the seventh play to be nominated. To Google (or Jen Tepper)!
What I have found:
1956 - Red Roses for Me (Anna Sokolow)
1973 - Much Ado About Nothing (Donald Saddler)
1992 - Dancing at Lughnasa (Terry John Bates)
That's all I have
