RippedMan's post just made me take a look at the BoM marquee. Does anyone know where the pull quotes would have come from on the advertising at the link below? The pictures were taken before the show started Previews....

The marquee for BOM is different now. A little bit cleaner.
I'm not sure what those pull quotes are referencing, since that was a world premiere, correct? What show did Vogue and NY Post see?

Yes, I suppose I should have been more clear. I'm confused as to how those news outlets could have thoughts on a show that hasn't been performed yet.

I was looking at a bunch of marquees on Google and I enjoyed this one a lot. Maybe it's just the picture, but I like the great idea

As far as theatre marquees, I love the Shubert regardless of what is playing there. There’s just something about the simplicity that seems timeless to me.
And as far as show marquees, I love the Harry Potter marquee. I have no desire to see the show as I never got into the books or the movies, but I can appreciate a damn fine marquee when I see one.

Agreed, I'm waaay too broke to even think about getting a ticket for that show, but that wing is always beautiful to walk past.

Agree it's beautiful, but I have minor PTSD from almost getting killed by it. One of the huge black pieces was on a truck bed, basically overflowing from the thing. We were walking down 43rd after some post-Spongebob tacos, and the driver decided it would be a good idea to come up 8th, turn a bit west onto 43rd, and then back up eastbound onto the block of the Lyric barely looking. He almost ran about 12 people over.

Was hoping they’d do more with the marquee for Moulin. But I guess the inside is the big surprise!
I’ve always loved the Barrymore for how they stack the logo with the show title. The Inheritance uses it quite well!

A classic one is the original production of Rocky Horror. I wonder what happened to that giant Tim Curry? Probably in the trash, but that would be super cool to have

Some of my favorites are the Hudson Theatre, where the current and last show only added to the beautiful green marquee and lighted signage; the Longacre with its current color scheme; and the Walter Kerr with all of the gorgeous colored lights..
