I am a huge Neil Patrick Harris fan; I was hoping to find some Cabaret related merchandise with him, but nada (not even a Playbill!)

However, I found something I thought was even better because it was so completely random and much more unique. One of the tables was selling a stack of Polaroids taken of NPH when he was doing Rent and the costume designer was trying to decide what eyeglasses he should wear as Mark. He tried on several different pairs of "dorky" glasses and they took Polaroids of each. I bought 8 Polaroids, five bucks each. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!! I wanted to buy them all, but a) would've been more money than I could really afford to spend and b) woulda been greedy when maybe someone else who likes him too could've bought some.

Only went looking for one thing-and I found it. A Paper Mill Follies windowcard-$25. Of course on top of that I got 2 windowcard frames for $2 each, and a framed Ballroom windowcard-$15. I live in Atlanta, so they are being shipped down, so the grand total spent is not final yet.

"Can you imagine Jackie Hoffman as Addams Grandma reading the Vagina Monologues? That's totally what I thought it was when I saw it mentioned!"

I was thinking about Carole Shelley as Billy Elliot's Grandma doing the readings, which would also have been amazing but in a totally different way.

Carole Shelley and Stark Sands both appeared previously unannounced at the Celebrity Table during the noon hour when I was there. Were there any other surprise guests?

I'm soo jealous, but I gotta ask, where do you people put all this s@#t?

That's a big reason why I don't buy much. Lack of room.

I don't have space for windowcards and I don't make a big habit of collecting Playbills for shows I've never seen

Same here

Carole Shelley and Stark Sands both appeared previously unannounced at the Celebrity Table during the noon hour when I was there.

Stark wasn't totally unannounced. The photo booth was offering pictures of Billy Joe Armstrong, Stark, John Gallagher Jr, and Tony Vincent for $100 but someone didn't show (I forget who - sorry). So Stark just joined the autograph table. He was just making the best out of a bad situation.

I'm not a huge shopper (mostly for the reasons mentioned above) so I spent most of my dad at the photo booth. I did get some interesting buys though. I got a Tale of Two Cities glass paperweight that has the name of the theatre and date of the opening night on it for $5. I'm assuming that was an opening night gift. I got a gorgeous red leather bound Drowsy Chaperone journal for $20. Some teeshirts for $5 each (a Shrek one with pink glitter for my sister and a Toxie "Jersey Girl" one for myself. I had a Dirty Dancing tank in my hand that said "Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner" but it was an extra large. Way too big for me. A Grease tour window card for a friend's birthday for $1. A guitar string bracelet at the M$Q table made by Victoria Matlock (I'm hoping she starts putting these on her etsy page). I got some magnets, buttons, and Hairspray CD sampler, and a lei for free. I also got a Love, Loss, & What I Wore lipstick pen for $2. My hope for the day was a hoodie from a show I liked (or had at least seen) but all I was able to get was a maroon hoodie that said "New York" for $4.

I ended up skipping Cheno's autograph/picture line. I had budgeted for a photo with her but she didn't come to the photo booth like she was scheduled - she was at "Maddie's Corner" doing it. I took one look at the line and went back to the photo booth. Standing in her line would have caused me to miss people I wanted in the photo booth at the time. So I got two pictures for the price of one Cheno.

All I bought was a Side Show playbill ($2) and a 9 to 5 windowcard ($5) and I spent $5 at the pick-a-tick booth but didn't win and bought 2 cookies from Lion King and a cupcake from another table. Total spent: $13.50

I wanted to go meet Kristin Chenoweth with Maddie, but I was already on the spin the wheel line, and that line was ridiculously long. Oh well, I can't complain about what I got.

I try to not go for really huge things, unless I can afford it and it is something I can't resist at all. I just happened to end up with 2 windowcards this year because I won them. If I hadn't, I don't think I would have bought any. But, I definitely think I will end up having a room filled with random stuff someday though. I just end up collecting odd things.

Did any of you get the big stuff? Grand Auction or things in the high hundreds-thousands. I can't afford that stuff. How much was the Susan Blackwell licking?

What shows did people get from the wheel (the tickets)? What about the TDF? Any hard-to-get shows? (The Lion King, Wicked, etc)

I don't know if the people who did spend hundreds of thousands (if there are any on here) would be willing to publicly admit that. Yes, you're supporting an incredible charity, but... still, kinda tacky to give numbers.

I try to keep my purchases to a minimum size-wise, because there is just not unlimited space! I have purchased a few rather large things, like I have one of those big (five feet tall or so) signs, but it wasn't just on a whim, it was from a show I really, really loved and I know it's something I'm going to love forever. I think it's cool to have those things, you just have to choose them practically.

I didn't have time to go, but the boyfriend grabbed me one of the Hair revival's price-listing boards from the Hirschfeld box office. Should have asked him to get a frame while they were on sale as well!

I didn't go as crazy as last year, but I attribute that to going at 3:00 instead of 10:00.

Wicked Flower Headband: $25
Bernadette Peters signed Broadway Barks Playbill: $10 or $15 I don't remember
Sutton Foster signed CD: $20
Next to Normal CD: $20
Legally Blonde Playbill: $1
Wicked Souvenir Program: $1
Adam Pascal Poster: free
2 Les Miz Buttons: free
Finian's Rainbow Button: free
2 Broadway Show League Patches: free

kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.

I went yesterday and was there for the whole thing sans about an hour in Junior's for lunch, where I watched from inside.

I spent by far more money than I should have. I just keep telling myself "it's for charity!" in order to keep myself from freaking out too much.

I'm a huge fan of Billy Elliot, so some things I got from their table:
a Kiril Kulish's signed ballet slippers, mounted in a shadow box
Dayton Tavares's tap shoes (signed)
a script (signed by current Billy boys)
letter Billy receives from the Royal Ballet School
framed letter Billy writes for mum

several window cards (at most $1) including Doubt, Doubt tour, Next Fall, God of Carnage

Big item of the day (by far...):
I won the "Ozian Backstage Experience at Wicked" live auction lot which includes an entire behind-the-scenes look at costumes, sets, hair and makeup, sound and the orchestra and the stage manager. I never, ever thought I'd win it because I thought it would go far too high for me to even consider bidding!

I also picked up several random but interesting Playbills. I'll try to post more info on them later, but they included credits by: Bob Fosse, Gene Wilder, Marian Seldes and Merman!

I bought a whole **** load...not gonna lie, about 80% was free and I spent $20.50 in total. (Then $25 for the 1pm Autograph table and $29.50 for a student rush ticket for A LIFE IN THE THEATRE).

Some things I got:

I found alot of Opening Night Plabyills to my surprise (all of which we 25 to 50 cents).
- Cry-Baby
- Nick & Nora
- ENRON (later signed by Marin Mazzie)
- GYPSY (LuPone - with ON seal)
- The Miracle Worker (revival)
- Glory Days
- Memphis
- Candide (which I found AFTER I saw Jason Danieley...damn)
- Billy Elliot
...and many, many more.

I also got:
- Saturday Night Fever Playbill and Program ($2)
- Patti LuPone GYPSY Program ($2)
- Promises, Promises Playing Cards (FREE)
- Sweet Charity and Come Fly Away posters ($1 for both)
- A Little Night Music (Zeta-Jones/Lansbury) Poster ($1)
- GREASE (2007), The Apple Tree (Revival), Oklahoma (revival), and A Behanding In Spokane posters (FREE)

Prorbably my greatest find was a 1961 Gypsy Playbill with Ethel Merman and Jack Klugman in fine condition...for $1

I love framing LPs and hanging them on my wall, so I spent most of the day scouring bins for LPs, although I looked at everything.

I got:
Leather crew jacket from THE CAPEMAN (by far my priciest purchase, but it was for my mother, who is paying me back)
URINETOWN OBCR (sealed)
A piece of paper signed and kissed by all the Cagelles (it was the last one and I thought what the heck)
Elmo lunchbox (the little metal kind)
Burlesque tank top
Home beer brewing kit (I love the random stuff like this)
Silver shoes (no idea if they have any significance or if they belonged to anybody, but they fit and they were $1)
Original ROCKY HORROR LP
Original A CHORUS LINE LP
BIG RIVER LP
42nd STREET LP signed by the three leads, including Jerry Orbach!!! This was my favorite purchase of the day, and only $5!
I think that's about it. I much prefer the outdoor market to last year, but I think the selection was better last year.

Some of the stuff, you really had to look through carefully. My friend was looking through a box of scores marked $6 each and he found an original SOUTH PACIFIC vocal score signed by Mary Martin. I'm jealous of that one.

Someone asked what they had from ENRON? In the silent auction, they had Marin Mazzie's costume jacket, the shiny red one that said ENRON in blue on the back. No idea what it went for.

I found Quizzy at the BBAJ lotto!

And I also found myself watching Patti, Sherie, and Brian teching Women on the Verge. Turns out if you're a short teenager on an ordinary Sunday, they don't care if you stand at the back of the Belasco and watch.
