Regarding the Tommy Tune tap shoe that was mentioned a couple posts ago, it was not his shoe, but he did sign it. I was standing in front of the table when the guy working the table held up the shoe and yelled, "Tommy Tune's signed tap shoe!" Someone else ran over and whispered something to him, and then the guy said, "Oh. A tap shoe signed by Tommy Tune!" It was pretty amusing, and he laughed about it. But no, the shoe did not belong to Tommy Tune.
It was also my first flea market and I had so much fun!

There was a lot of weirdness regarding Orfeh on Sunday it seems.
I had offered $40 for a picture with Orfeh and Andy and I was told Offeh would not be doing the photo booth so I said I'd just take Andy but he was never brought to the booth.
But when they left the table they posed with fans for free. When I wandered over someone running the event said that I couldn't have a picture with them because they'd been in the photo booth but that was not so.
I was okay that Orfeh didn't want to do the booth. But, don't tell me that they had done the booth and I had missed it. I was there the whole time. The charity lost my $40.
I never did understand that once a star's shift was over, they posed and signed autographs for free...(I had just missed Gregory Jbara and Bobby Steggart since I was thrid on line for the 1pm)
I do think Orfeh and Andy did the photobooth, Eris, I saw some photos of them with fans on Facebook in the photobooth. I can't imagine why they wouldn't have told you when they went into the booth, since you had already expressed interest. What happened there? Seems like a silly oversight to make since, as you said, they lost your 40$.
I can't say I'm not still troubled by observing her behavior. I'm curious, of course, if there was provocation, maybe stepandrepeat is right in that respect. But what could possibly have been so offensive that someone would (in their right mind, of course) say in an autograph line?

Eris, I saw some photos of them with fans on Facebook in the photobooth
They took photos with fans for free as they were leaving.
In the photobooth? That's so strange. I thought you meant on the street as they were walking away.
It's funny because I saw Andy at the Wicked booth earlier in the day and fans asked for photos with him and they wouldn't allow him to unless they paid at least 20$.
My friend got a photo with both Orfeh and Andy at the photo booth and PAID.
I had to crop out my friend.

....and why was Orfeh wearing those sunglasses at the autographing table? She seemed to be put out to be there, at least that's the impression she gave me.
haha, I thought similarly. "Orfeh, take your God damn glasses off! This is for charity!" ...and throw in a "This is the theatre!" a la LuPone for good measure.
Well at least she wasn't wearing big glasses AND a hat like Cheno. $40 for a pic and you have no idea who it is.
I have no idea how she is in general, but there is the possibility that she just doesn't enjoy the fan aspect that much. Some people just have really bad anxiety when having to deal with people. So, maybe she thought she would be okay in a more controlled situation like the flea market, but ended up not at one point.
That's true, some people really are uncomfortable with fan attention. It's just strange that she seemed completely fine up until that point, and seemed to return to being fine afterward (I met her afterward and she was very friendly).
And I agree about the sunglasses thing, thought that was VERY weird, esp. since the autograph booth was under the Junior's awning, thus...not actually in the sun. Guess some people do "wear their sunglasses at night"...
Really? We're now actually have a discussion about her wearing sunglasses at the table? I swear, you guys will find ANYTHING to insult her and latch onto it.
Who cares if she was rude to some fan? She can do what she wants.
^ Says the person who only joined 2 days ago. You're the one who it seems made an account to tell us what you "know" about said person, and has not posted about anything else. If you have, forgive me for not knowing.
While I can't comment about Orfeh, I can tell you than when my wife took our 2 girls, ages 3 & 5 through, Mario Cantone, Susan Blackwell, Phyllis Newman, Donna Murphy, Julia Murney and Anthony Rapp were wonderful to them! Each one of them stopped my wife and asked the girls questions about what shows they had seen, how old they were, what were their favorite shows, etc.
We also did the booth with Sean Hayes, and he was amazing with them- he even took the time to sing "Half As Big As Life" with my youngest- which was priceless!
All in all my girls walked away with an amazing experience that they will remember for a lifetime, as each and everyone of the aformentioned Broadway Folks told them to keep coming to the theatre and told them how wonderful it was to meet them!
Yero, thanks for the info on Tommy Tune's signed tap shoe -- hmm...deceptive advertising, at least when I was there. Well, it answers my question of why the shoe looked so small. Odd that they would have a random tap shoe signed by Tommy. Why couldn't they have had one of Tommy's tap shoes? Now THAT would have been a find.

I've been reading this board for awhile. I know exactly how you all operate re: Orfeh, and it's pathetic. The amount of libelous and defamatory statements on her would make any lawyer a pretty penny, and it's really generosity on her part that she hasn't acted on it yet.
And to attack someone because they wore freakin' sunglasses on a sunny day? Really?

That's so wonderful to read! Picturing Sean Hayes singing with your little girl is just charming. Thanks for sharing their experience!
dshnookie, your friend was lucky because I was told they were only doing promo shots. Odd that a charity event would turn away money. I also offered $40 for Judith Light & Dan Lauria together and was told Dan wasn't coming over only to see him in the booth later.
well as that same friend said to me as he first arrived to the flea market, "what an unorganized mess".
sad.
Wow, stepandrepeat, that's a lot of anger. I wasn't insulting Orfeh, I was just reporting what I saw and asking if anyone else could shed light on it.
