alliez, Don't feel too bad. The Ragtime sampler is only five songs. It's not like you're getting a full recording. But it is nice to have. And the flea marker is fun, but crowded too, so if you don't like crowds, it may not be for you. I happen to hate crowds, so I try not to go, but this year, I braved the crowds and went. I'm glad I did.

I want the sampler too, if anyone wants to sell it to me ($20 USD? + shipping to Australia) I'd buy it :P.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Oh I know, I'm just such a huge Ragtime fan that I love listening to anything related. And I don't mind the crowds. Actually, if I hadn't had a show this weekend I would've gone to New York. But there's always next year :)

I was also one of the first 75 people to donate to/enter the scavenger hunt so I won a Broadway Flea Market Tee.

How was the scavenger hunt? Like, I'd heard that you had to pay to enter it.

Yeah you had to "donate" five dollars and complete 10 things on the list to get 5 chances to win something, I don't remember what it was. And most of the things on the list were things you had to purchase, like two broadway green allience totes, or a playbill with a broadway diva on the cover. There were a couple of triva questions, some tasks you could do at certain tables, or you could update your facebook status/twitter that you were doing the scavanger hunt and that all counted as something. I ended up not turning my sheet back in. It wasn't worth it.

@mattyp4 & @TheActr97J: Can I say jealous? I <3 9 to 5. Have Allison, Stephanie, and Megan's signature on one of my playbills, but I wish I had something with the entire casts signature on it.

Sounds like many of you all got some good deals/finds. Wished I lived a little closer to NYC. Can't wait to hear the rest of everyone else got.

I got mostly posters. One table had posters were $1 each, but while I was looking through them they announced 5 posters for $1 (WHAT!?) so I found 4 I liked - Next Fall, 110 in the Shade, The Sound of Music sing-a-long, and Mary Poppins. And at the Triton Gallery table I got 3 posters for $5 - Oleanna (Julia Stiles and Bill Pullman), After Miss Julie (Sienna Miller and Jonny Lee Miller) and the OBC of Annie.

And then I picked up a bunch of little High School Musical, Little Mermaid and Lion King things at the Disney table - $2 (4 for $1) that I'm planning on giving away to my little cousins.

Later in the day as I was going by the Next to Normal I found out that with every $50+ purchase, you get 2 free tickets to the show for that day (by the time I went there were only evening show tickets left). If I was with a friend, I definitely would've considered this. Pretty good deal to get a souviner they had and two tickets.

I had loads of fun this year! It may have been crowded, but all I had to do to make that feel manageable was think back to last year's indoor flea market. Here's what I got:

Windowcards (I went a little crazy because I have a new room to decorate this year):
Flea Market 2010 - $10
A Little Night Music (CZJ/Lansbury) -$10
Hair (2009 Revival) - $5
Ragtime (Revival) -$5
In the Heights - $5
Avenue Q - $5
Anyone Can Whistle (Encores!) -$2
A Chorus Line (Revival) - $2
The Little Mermaid - $1
Gypsy (LuPone) - $1
Next Fall - $1

Playbills (3 for $1):
reasons to be pretty (Off-Broadway)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
And Then There Were None (London)

CDs:
Xanadu OBCR - $5
Footloose OBCR - $5
Ragtime Revival Sampler - $1

Other:
Urinetown Toilet Paper - $10
A Behanding in Spokane Script - Free

I also caught the matinee of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON. It was a great day for me!

Mattyp4, I don't remember the booth where I got the Drowsy items, but it was on 44th street directly across from the entrance to Shubert Alley. Not all that helpful at this point, I know.

I'm glad everyone had such great luck! Makes me wish I had gone back later in the day and been a little more patient when I actually was there.

I'm still in the market for a few windowcards: Light in the Piazza, Drowsy Chaperone (unsigned and different format-with just the title that says "A Musical Within a Comedy" on it), Oklahoma! (original production...I'll probably just order it from Triton), and Next to Normal. If anyone can help me out, send me a PM!

I was only looking to buy a select few items and yet I managed to find everything I was looking for!

LOOPED t-shirt & magnet - $13
RAGTIME t-shirt & keychain - $7
A messenger bag from THE TEMPERMENTALS - $5

And my biggest haul - I won the silent auction from SUNDAY IN THE PARK! It includes a signed Playbill, an oversized styrofoam windowcard, and the drawing of Dot that Daniel Evans draws in the title number of the show! (All signed by him.)

Damn. I saw a ton of Behanding scripts. I only bought one. It has the red cover. It was at the table where you could buy "all you want for $1." This was towards like 4 pm.

Yeah, there were a ton of Behanding scripts at the "All You Can Carry for $1" table. If I had known people wanted them, I'd have taken a whole bunch and distributed them to interested bww-ers.

I found an MGM book for two dollars...
Haha I'm really not good at these kind of things. I did answer a trivia question and get an ALNM bag!
Also, I'm looking for Light in the Piazza and Into the Woods posters!

You gotta be original, because if you're like someone else, what do they need you for? -BP.

I'm soo jealous, but I gotta ask, where do you people put all this s@#t? Some of your places have to look like an episode of Hoarders. What do you even do with 4,000 buttons from obscure shows and Tony Kushner piggy banks. Sweet jesus.
