I know two people who won't, but will find discount options that are even better.
Get ready to pay $400 for premium seats and $120 for back balcony.

Hard to guess if A8 is having an orgasm or a ragegasm right now.
I'm gonna go with the latter, with variations on the theme "things aren't what they used to be!"

Since you didn't care, why did you bother to open the thread? To chastize those that decided to chat about it? Notice, no one is bashing her about it and the only one to even have a negative comment at all is Roxy. (Shocking, right?)
Yes dramamam611 at the end of the day, when everything is said and done it truly won't matter one iota in the grand scheme of things.

Is HELLO, DOLLY dated and bloodless enough for A8 to enjoy? I'm imagining something like: "If one is to put on one's Sunday Clothes, let it be for a cup of tea and not for unseemly travel with the intention of flagrantly expressing animal affection. 'We won't come home until we kiss a girl' indeed! This is the depraved drivel that the powers-that-be expect us to swallow!"

If she was on a vacation for a week of performances would she still get a box office percentage?

there is no way of knowing unless you have special access to her confidential negotiations......... do you?
The five hottest shows on Broadway right now:
Hamilton
Book of Mormon
The Lion King
Wicked
Aladdin
Which none of them are star driven, all are new musicals ans non are revivals, once the initial furry dies town after a month, get ready to queue at the TKT's line.
That's if she makes it 'til next year.
I don't know how one thing has to do with the other. (Revival v New work) This will be a hot ticket for more 'than a month.
And what do mean IF SHE MAKES IT TILL NEXT YEAR?

you seem to be suggesting she is sick or that you plan to kill her.

This logic makes no sense to me. We have seen time and time again that high-profile stars can sell out (or come close to selling out) shows for extended periods of time.

She probably pulls this down easily in a one-night concert, so good on her for taking on eight shows a week.
Well, it's yet to be seen if she will actually be doing 8 shows a week. (or did I miss that in the article?)

If she's the star name responsible for pretty much every ticket sold then I'd be very surprised if she wasn't doing eight shows a week. Even if she takes vacations they're going to have to get someone pretty big to fill in for a few weeks like they did with Julie Andrews in Victor Victoria.
As for discussing how much she's making: it may be none of my business, but to be honest, when big stars like this do Broadway shows I'm always curious!
I'm guessing the St. James or Shubert would be ideal for Midler's Dolly.
Dolly for Dolly as a 'fill in'--or is that too obvious?

I have a random, bold prediction that Rotten! will be one of the victims of the early January 2017 closings, and then Midler's Dolly! will come in thereafter in the spring. Just my guess!
Yeah, I assume that Rotten will be gone next January. (Which will have been a fabulous run.)
agreed. despite early reports, SOMETHING ROTTEN!! isn't turning into a mega-hit many thought it would be.

I believe she's signed for six months, which is enough time to recoup if it's the hit it's expected to be. Of course she could extend but if not, who would replace? And no, LuPone does not replace.
