Billy Crystal

After spending over $377 USD converted to over $500 Australian to see Billy's 860 show ...I was disappointed on how rude he was to the 3 of us waiting for an autograph...

I thought you would be friendly and caring but it's just for the cameras and tv talk shows.

I can't watch any movies that are shown with you in it..

Take our money with no acknowledgement.

I wished I had spent my hard earned money on other Broadway shows.

Re: Billy Crystal

Thanks for joining the board and starting an unnecessary new thread just to share your inane opinion. Your ticket buys you a performance, not a meet-and-greet. Neither Mr. Crystal nor any other performer owes you anything other than their best…onstage.

Re: Billy Crystal

Instead of an autograph how about a thank you would be nice at the stage door. Again who’s fault is that you spent $377 not Billy

Re: Billy Crystal

The stage door is not part of your ticket price. Actors DO NOT have to stage door. There is nothing included in your ticket price that says an actor has to greet after their show.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Re: Billy Crystal

If this is a real story, how was he rude? Because I’ve seen numerous stage door videos from this show and he has been extremely gracious to people.

And if you’re only going to watch movies and tv shows with people who are “nice”, you’re gonna have a lot more free time on your hands.

Yes, actors do not have to do this but there is no reason to be rude if that truly happened. Actor is tired or not in a good mood after show, just leave by a different exit in theater.

Re: Billy Crystal

No one is owed an autograph or a selfie, but rudeness would seem especially unfortunate at a show such as this, where the actor's sharing of personal history is the show. That said, in the absence of any details, it's difficult to know what "rude" means here, beyond someone's (unknown) expectations not being met.

Re: Billy Crystal

I guarantee that, considering the entitlement of the OP, that "rude" in this instance means "didn't give me an autograph and a selfie."

OP didn't say what exactly happened to label Crystal as rude outside of him not getting an autograph. Crystal is known to be signing Playbills and taking photos. The OP could have been very aggressive and security may have stopped Crystal from talking to them.
