And this is a reason WHY producers shouldn't be allowed to charge FULL price during previews. This performance was cancelled. Another performance stopped 4 times. Why should I pay $135 for that to happen?
Who's forcing you to pay anything for anything? If it's that important to you, JUST DON'T GO. The vast majority of reviews given by those who've seen it make it more than worth it to me. Unless somebody is holding a gun to your head and marching you over to the Imperial's box office, you aren't being forced into anything.
That is not what happened, if you bothered to read the thread.
Since you don't have the capacity to figure it out for yourself- I was describing my experience at another show.
Which goes back to my original post in this thread before "Insider" jumped in to insult everything I said: I think it's more professional to cancel the show and refund the audience than to have the audience sit around all evening and wait for them to fix the problems, or force the cast to improvise around it.
"Keep popping those idiot pills, Orangeskittles. Aren't they yummy."
Leave orangeskittles alone. He (or she?) was just trying to put the whole thing into perspective saying that it could have been a lot worse had they gone on with the show and experienced severe technical difficulties (and not get a refund), and that because it was canceled last minute, one's main concern shouldn't be revolved around not being able to get tickets to another show (and then go on to say that staff handed this situation unprofessionally).
And the "idiot" pill popping comments? Really necessary? If anything, orangeskittles always contributes worthwhile posts to this board. Forget idiocy, some people have stooped to a whole new level of immaturity.
All hail Millie Dillmount, Defender of the Universe.
"All hail Millie Dillmount, Defender of the Universe."
Well, someone has to do it, especially when you have morons and "idiot pill poppers" like Insider2.
=P
I started a thread in the West End forum about this. I asked if when the show started in London did they have a lot of the same tech problems that are going on with the Broadway company. The answer is yes but no one made a big deal about it like people are on Broadway.
