Found dead in his hotel room this afternoon after performing last night in Florida. Saget made his Broadway debut in 2006 as Man In Chair in “The Drowsy Chaperone”

I got see him on Broadway in Hand to God and got to meet him afterwards at stage door. I wasn't sure how he'd be. He was lovely.

Wow......very unexpected.  I believe he was in the middle of a tour. It will be interesting to hear if the preliminary no foul play/no drug use continues. I hope so.

(Yes, I know that even a 65 year old can die of natural causes and out of the blue.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

BWW website is referencing TMZ as a source. Good grief.

What a life. He spent years as a leading man in a successful sitcom as well as the host of another hit TV show as well as films AND getting to do both a musical and play on Broadway all while maintaining a stand-up comedy career. It’s sad his life was cut so short, but he lived it well.

TMZ is historically very very reliable when it comes to celerity deaths. They use ****ty practices but they're rarely wrong about this stuff. They were the first to break Betty White's death a week ago. They also were the first source to report Kobe Bryant's death.

Don't completely degrade a source before you check it out.

Say what you will about TMZ, but I always go to them to confirm a celebrity death. Other major sites have erroneously called out deaths in recent years, typically picking up on another's announcement, but TMZ will always independently source their confirmation.

I agree about TMZ.  They originally were known for trash but have since become a legit source for accurate reporting.  They may have the most salacious format to obtain their information BUT their information is always 100% accurate. They also provide a timeline as they are receiving the most updated info.
