I'd be interested to see David Larsen's take on a Elder Price. I saw him in Hardbody and AI and thought he wad okay. Nothing special. I know he's jot an older actor, but to me he reads much older then previous Prices (save Rannells).
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
BTW I have seen David Larsen and Denée Benton as Price and Nabulungi and both are fantastic. Larsen doesn't look too old for the part or for that cast (I shared the same skepticism expressed earlier in the thread) and he is hilarious. Denée Benton is gorgeous and I hope she eventually makes her way to Broadway as a lead, either in BoM or in another show. She shines.

I wonder if he's joining the Broadway company as a standby??

That's a little odd to hear because Nyk has only been with the show a brief time, but I suppose considering they're sort of changing the way the role has been played on Broadway so far with Ben Platt, I suppose it makes sense.

Cody Jamison Strand is now the Elder Cunningham in the 2nd national tour, replacing A.J. Holmes who'll replace Nyk Beilak as the Broadway standby.

Any idea if Nyk is going on tour? I heard good things about him in the role, and was hoping to eventually see him, but alas that never happened. Cody was pretty hilarious in the role, and I'm glad he's gotten to showcase his talents in all three US companies.

Nik confirmed on twitter that he's leaving the Broadway company for Jumamosi tour(2nd national) as their new standby. I guess this means Rob Colletti is leaving the company.

Also, Nick Spangler went on as Price last weekend (finally), a few weeks after going on as Elder McKinley (which he didn't cover until after that emergency)!

Knowing the way BoM runs, they likely won't be explicit about dates he'll be out anyway.
There are currently two Cunningham standbys on Broadway, which is slightly unusual. Rob Colletti (who had been on the second national tour) tweeted on April 2 that he would be on Broadway for two months. https://twitter.com/robcolletti/status/451396484639260672 Though interestingly enough, he still hasn't gone on here.
