A BEAUTIFUL week, like it always is. Gonna be rough numbers for the upcoming weeks.
Also, outrageous numbers for Spider-man making nearly 3 million dollars last week!

thats a disgusting amount of money for a terrible show....
Wow...congratulations "Chicago" for passing the 1 million mark! from RC in Austin, Texas
Based on these grosses, closing notices will likely be posted for Chinglish, Lysistrata Jones, Stick Fly & On A Clear Day.
Great numbers for Sister Act, Memphis, Anything Goes, Poppins & Addams Family. And Phantom was also the highest grossing show that did 8 performances. Most shows did 9 performances this week. And I'll add that it's really sad that Spiderman brought in nearly 3 million(is that a record??) while shows like Priscilla, Follies & Porgy & Bess had less then average numbers for this week.
Oh, cruel reality! How soon will you kick in...
I'm stunned at the top ticket prices for some of these shows!

It's going to be a slaughter tomorrow morning, if not later tonight....
Wow that is a mighty figure for Spiderman near $3.
Think Porgy and Bess could be a gonner, some time soon.

wow, even at 67% gross potential there were still atleast a dozen shows with a lower gross percentage then Godspell.... (could it be the only fall musical to survive?)
No, Ken - it won't survive. Sorry.
Off Broadway at New World Stages was quite busy over the holidays also. Lots of sld out performances. So it was busy all around.

@blaxx oh haha :P
but the way I look at it Lysistrata Jones is dead, On a clear day is in for a fight, follies is gone on the 22nd and if porgy and bess gets mixed reviews it could be a game ender....

Spider-man will be gone by next week.
My jaw hit the floor. Almost $3 Million. Holy goodness. Such a great holiday week.
Got an email for free LJ tickets again this morning on Student Rush.I think it's a safe to say that it won't last the month :/
Spiderman hits 3 mill which just goes to show you crap sells - and you can't get crappier than this show.
The other thing to look at with Spiderman is that it played 9 shows this week, and the average ticket price is really high. I wouldn't be surprised if it lost close to a million this week just for those reasons alone.
^I'm a little confused by your last comment. Are you saying the 9th performance cost them an extra $1m?
I'm talking about the extra performance, plus the high average ticket price helping it get to almost 3 million dollars this past week. I guess what I was trying to say is that I think this coming week, it will be very unlikely for the show to make that much money again, and probably could be down that million dollars they gained last week.
Spider-Man still had five tickets unsold. Clearly it has to close soon.

Every show is going to see a huge drop for this coming week, including the other top grossers like Wicked and Lion King. Why not call those ones out as well?

The Holidays were very good for most shows with Anything Goes cracking $1m for the first time, think Chinglish, Stick Fly and On a Clear Danger are in danger of closing within the month.
