But the gross is still $30,000 below the nut.
I really want Grey Gardens to be doing better than it has been.
Aww Company
Why did Drowsy go down so much?
Spring Awakening, jumping 20% from the previous week, good for them! Now if they can start selling the regular (full) price tix more...

i feel bad for little dog laughed. It should have moved to the lyceum after L.O.I.M closed, or helen hayes after jay johnson and before xanadu booked it. The cort is "big", even though smaller theatre, for little dog laughed.
Company had a very high average ticket price (over $80). So it seems they are trying to wean themselves off of discounts, at least during the holidays. Less people attended, but they paid more to be there. It's actually not a bad strategy, and you extend the life of your show by not discounting it too heavily.

It's true that SA's gross is below what it should be, but they only did seven performances this week. If they can stay in the 80s in terms of capacity when they return to a full 8 show schedule, they should be above $400,000.

You can see that the shows that went up are the ones that have titles that tourists recognize (RENT, JERSEY BOYS, WICKED, AVENUE Q, CHICAGO, THE WEDDING SINGER etc.)

Look's like the Boss didn't do anything for the Producers.
Company went down by a big percentage, I doubt the show will make it to the Tonys let alone recoup.
Sad to see Grey Gardens doing poorly, I certainly hope it stays open through the end of the season but I'm not sure it'll survive the months of January and February.
Tony Danza had zero effect on The Producers's attendance.
I didn't realize that Company went down 25% Well they don't have a name star (Raul is above the title but I don't consider him a name star yet), so it must be difficult to attract tourists.
soo happy to see that jump for Spring Awakening and just wait we ARE going to see it go above $400,000!! Slow but sure!!
I am happy to hear that Spring Awakening & Grey Gardens is at least doing well ... I hope they SELL more bec. its such an excellent musicals !! same with Company I am just worried about LITTLE DOG LAUGHED.. its good I saw it already !!! But I hope everyone will have a chance to see these excellent shows (which deserves 100 % of its capacity ) GREY GARDENS, COMPANY, SPRING AWAKENING & LITTLE DOG LAUGHED..I would be VERY DISAPOINTED if these shows ever close ( I cant hardly wait to see Coast of Utopia this january & April)

Grey Gardens didn't do well....
I have a question about the reporting statistics: Why would the Total Number of Seats change. For example, two weeks ago, The Wedding Singer showed 11,376 Total Seats and then this week it has 9,954.
Anyone know why this displays that way?
Even though it was holiday week, shows sure had their ups and downs.

look at the number of performances. The total number of seats is essentially the number seats in the theatre multiplied by the number of performances... the most seats that the show COULD seel. I THINK Wedding Singer had a seven show week last week due to the holiday, which means they had a few number of seats for the full week......
Finally.
Worried about Company.
Go Spring Awakening!
Wedding Singer did 7 shows, instead of 8, so their total number of seats available to sell was reduced by 1,400 (one less show). That's why they had 9,954 seats, instead of 11,375.
I doubt it. First of all, it represents a very busy week, one of the busiest of the season, as is this week. Come January/February, the numbers will drop. Second, its average ticket price is only $61, so the tickets that are being sold are at a discount, stage seats or standing room. It is one the 5 or 6 lowest average ticket prices of all the Broadway shows. Not good for a show that got rave reviews. People obviously are not so willing to spend full price.
Thank you broadwayguy2 and Smaxie for the answer on the Total Seats. Now it makes sense!
Grey Gardens too seemed to take the Company route, by not discounting heavily, and settling for less seats sold at a higher average ticket price. Both Grey Gardens and Company had averages of around $83 and $82 respectively, compared to Spring Awakening which filled their theatre to a higher capacity, but at a low $61 average. I'd expect that Grey Gardens and Company will both have discounts available for the winter months, but I don't blame them for trying to get a higher ticket average during these busy weeks.
I'm starting to worry about Company and Grey Gardens. Even with its big jump Spring Awakening still makes me nervous if you live in New York go see theses shows!
