""Nice to see Hedwig finally break the 500 thousand dollar mark with Darren Criss. Is it his last week?"
This week is his last. Through Sunday. "

" This isn't the first time. It already broke 500 thousand during pride week."

Whoops! My bad - sorry. I hope that it increases again for his last week?

Is Taye Diggs that big of a draw?

I much preferred Kinky over Matilda . I doubt I fit into the mold of the Teeny boppers who favor it over Matilda.

Why are you telling me to shut up and stop claiming my point when you retorted my statement which did not ask nor need a retort. If you weren't so pressed and didn't care that much you wouldn't have replied the 4 or 5 times you did. & if you don't want to come off as an annoying twit you will leave this statement where it I have left it and make this final.

"I doubt I fit into the mold of the Tennyson boppers who favor it over Matilda."

I'm sure Lord Alfred Tennyson would agree with you if he were still around to do so.

You are on a DISCUSSION board. That means all comments are open to discussion. regardless is you like it or not.

If you didn't want people to comment on your opinions, why post them?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

OK Zell, here's the deal. First you came on here and said Matilda was robbed: not an opinion. Now you say it is just your opinion. Guess what, you are entitled to that opinion. On whatever basis you have for reaching a conclusion although when your basis for that conclusion is shaky, as it seems to be, you are (as you have been told) going to be taken to task for the lack of quality your process reveals. That's how intelligent humans discuss things. Now aside from the apparent defective process you have used, you have also chosen a charged word ("robbed") that is lame. A majority of voters (most of whom have credentials far exceeding any you appear to have), as well as some reasonably significant portion of the folks on here, had a different subjective opinion of Kinky than yours. The voters cast bona fide votes, that were tabulated by CPAs. No one was "robbed." Nothing illicit happened. Most of them just saw something that you didn't. That happens. At some time, every single person on here has loved a show that the consensus didn't. And every single person also hated a show that the consensus fell head over heels for. That's life. Sooner you learn that little lesson the better off you will be. Don't have a miserable life and be "that person." It ain't pretty and I am sure your mama told you that you were pretty.

"First you came on here and said Matilda was robbed: not an opinion."

So you're saying that Matilda being robbed is not an opinion and so it is a fact. Great! Glad you're team Matilda. I'm not even gonna read the rest because it's irrelevant and I'd fall asleep but thanks for the effort

Are you saying that I don't care? I enjoy reading these boards because most people have some sort of insightful opinions on the topics. But then we have the, whats the word you used, twits who just post for the sake of being noticed. Way to go! You've made it in the world. If no one posts and tells you to shut up once and while, you never will

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Zell, do not try to mangle what I said like a 12 year old would. You will regret it. Feel free to read and not read what you want, but spare us the explanation of the symptoms of your ADHD. If you can't keep up, don't. But don't think you little sleight of hand is going to impress any one or let you off the hook.

One other question for you, if you are not too bored: what is your definition of "pressed." You've used it a couple times, and my extensive collection of dictionaries does not admit of your use. If it has something to do with how nicely pressed Fishermanbob's suit is in that picture, two things you should know. First, that is not Bob in the pic; it is Jerry Orbach. And second, Jerry was not beyond appearing in publicin a rumpled jacket.

#65

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/12/15

Wow. You do seem to own an extensive collection of dictionaries. Why are you using your vast vocabulary on a broadway forum and not in some office full of white men in DC? And Jerry looks great in that pic. Its too bad he died of prostate cancer. It would seem as if I wished cancer upon one of you the way you are still yakking about my extremely lucid statement

Philly-I'm not hostile at all!! The grandpas replying to me are..just read the 1st thing I posted on this thread. I didn't say I wished Kinky would close and everyone here die of a heart attack. I just expressed my happiness for Matilda's consistent success. Then these 40 year olds started writing essays about how I'm the dumbest teen are here and blah blah blah. How am I the one considered hostile?

I tried to talk sense to you. It was an exercise in futility as you wanted to go in with guns blazing. You are on your own going forward. Good luck .

zell, you are not coming off well here. Pinto had that problem and has made some (but not enough) adjustments. Many many other people have had the same problem when they arrived guns blazing and many of them end up wandering away. If you want to intelligently discuss theatre (or anything), earning respect is a good idea. Otherwise you just seem foolish. Anyone can disagree with anyone about anything here; I do often. But lesson one is to learn that there are facts and there are opinions and no one is well served by pretending their opinions are facts: it's a great way to get disrespected. Lesson two is that when you are wrong about something (and all of us are sometimes) it is better to acknowledge it and move on rather than trying to be cute. There is a lot to gain from discussions here, but only you can decide whether to reap that benefit or to be labelled a fool. As I said before, Pinto is in the process of learning that lesson. I've noticed a lot more attention to detail on his part. Yes he still gets a lot of grief especially from some people but he has also posted useful information. He still has a tendency to "guarantee" certain things that are beyond his power, but I do sense that he is starting to get the all important difference between what he knows and what he hopes and even believes. In less than a month here, you haven't shown much movement towards intelligent conversation. It's not an age thing; it's a smarts thing. Unless you want to be the stupid idiot (and that pathology does drive some miserable people), you'll try to adjust. Otherwise you will find yourself more and more marginalized. And if you think the "adults" here are a tough crowd, try this with a group of smart, sophisticated teens: I know a lot of them and right now you are not one.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/12/15

Ok ok! Sorry didn't know this was an honors english class. I've been on this site for about a month. I don't understand how anything I've said has been unintelligent or "cute." I'm not worried about writing 3 paragraphed long post like you do or using vivid vocabulary. I don't need to earn respect from anyone on here and frankly I don't care, because last time I checked none of y'all are the administrators of Broadwayworld. I truly wish you would just accept the fact that you blew things out of proportion and are picking on me because I'm a young adult, new to this site, and not a 10 year+ member in my fifties. Sorry I haven't been going to the theater since the 70s like you and fisherman. & don't act like you're hearing anything new because I've had 3 people already PM saying you & that fisherman guy are always arguing with people over nothing. You guys don't run this site and are not any more superior than I am so I don't even know why I'm giving you the time of day. In my first post I had not typed wether I was expressing my opinion or a fact so next time don't assume I'm stating a fact. I just love Broadway and thats it. Stop acting like I just wished death upon you. Sorry if I sound hostile Philly, but I'm really not. Like I said you seem like one of those old men who spend their time arguing with young adults over absolutely nothing, I know a lot of them and right now you are one.

zell, you don't need anyone's approval, least of all mine, to say whatever you want. You don't have to read a word I write. You course-corrected on the opinion problem fairly quickly, so there is hope. Now about "unintelligent" and "cute." You wanna know what that's about? Cursor back up to # 58. That's something I'd expect from my 5 year old godson.
