These are my ratings and thoughts since Broadway and Off Broadway reopened:
*Bad
**Just OK
***Good
****Very Good
*****Excellent
-Is This a Room? *
Interesting story but terrible storytelling. Thankfully it's only 70 minutes long or so. Do not recommend it, unless you like wordy plays with very little action.
-Caroline or Change *
I don't like sad Broadway shows, especially if they don't have good songs and there's no resolution. Also the main character isn't lovable at all. Terrible! I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
-Jagged Little Pill ***
I guess it's a thing now for Broadway to be "woke" and although I'm happy we're evolving as a society, it can be a bit much. But Alanis wrote great songs, so that makes up for the awful book. Great talent of course and some great aspects. I recommend it, but it's a bit long.
-Fairycakes ***
Hilarious cast and I have to say that act 1 was quite boring to me, but then act 2 was completely different and I found it hilariously funny and the songs that the cast sings were beautiful (it's a play with music, but not a musical), but I recommend it. Douglas Carter Beane is always witty.
-The Visitor ****
I wasn't familiar with the story, but the story is completely dated. SPOILER ALERT: unfortunately no one gets arrested for jumping the turnstiles in NYC and also cops can check if you just paid for your ride. So that situation made absolutely no sense and the entire story is a bit silly to me. But some of the numbers were thrilling, especially the number in Union Square. The sets were fantastic and I highly recommend it, even if the story is a bit cringe worthy. David Hyde Pierce was great, not sure why he does musicals though.
-Trevor ****
This was great, great score, great story...it was Love, Simon meets Bye Bye Birdie? Very enjoyable, the kids acting in the show are very talented and very professional. I highly recommend it.

He isn't arrested for jumping a turnstile. He is about to be given a ticket which would necessitate ID/information, which causes an altercation that gets out of hand and gets him arrested. That is a perfectly reasonable and actually quite common scenario. What is NOT as common is ICE nabbing undocumented immigrants from NYPD custody, but that also does happen, and happened with alarming regularity in the first two years of the Trump Administration.
Lots to criticize in The Visitor, but the story itself-- an American-raised immigrant without documentation getting caught up in the legal system over something tiny/minor, and then ending up deported to a country they know nothing about-- is all too common.

I'd love to hear more about Trevor's physical production/direction. How is the set/design? I love that space. And it's never really used because of the location, but I wish more shows would utilize it.

The set of The Visitor was more visually stunning, but the set in Trevor is great, in all honesty, both shows felt like Broadway shows, not even much of that Off Broadway small show feeling. I wouldn't be shocked if they transfer to Broadway.

I don't think either will, but what made them feel "Broadway" to you?

Wondering this as well. I try to save my money and only see shows when they transfer so I can be in a broadway theater, but if it does feel like one, maybe I'll go.

These Off Bway shows are totally worth the money though, also Fairy Cakes has a rush on today tix for $25 and The Visitor has a rush for $21, and Trevor has a lotto I believe, but can't confirm it.

Well, it’s all taste level right?
I feel like he likes glitz and glam and production value, so makes sense he’d prefer Diana over a bare bones Assassins.

You added an extra star...so don't change my ratings. Then you talk about credibility? Hahaha.

-Baby, The Musical ** Excellent cast of talented performers. Julia Murney is brilliant in every aspect and so is the entire company, the music, everything is very well done, but the book is tedious and the show felt way too long.

They felt "Broadway" because of the sets, lighting, great music, big stages. They were very well done. Not the amateurish feeling you get sometimes seeing Off Broadway or Off Off.

Why only two stars? Just curious. I’m not planning to see this anytime soon but if my family comes with me one afternoon to NYC next spring they might want to see this.

lol I'm fascinated by this thread because this person seems to feel the complete opposite about each show I've seen. It's fun to read their opinions!

The show has great talent (some not taken advantage of, like Jenn Gambatese, who is great and has nothing interesting to do in the show) but my main issue is the book, I go to every show with an open mind, but I can never relate to a father who misses his children and is willing to dress up as a woman to be near them, instead of getting a real job and be able to provide for them in order to have a good relationship with his ex wife and kids. The whole show doesn't make sense.

It's a comedy about that very subject. You knew that going in, along with everyone else. Were you expecting a different subject matter or something? Because your complaints make no sense otherwise.
