I'm obsessed with this show, and love the Broadway casting pool that they keep dipping into as well. Who is the theatre lover casting all of these stars that we can thank?
Andrea Burns appears in next week’s episode.

Bernie Telsey, who famously casts a lot of Broadway shows (and is one of the few casting directors well-known enough for people outside of the industry to have heard of).

The line "He played the bugle" might not sound funny, but with Stokes' delivery it is
I have been patiently waiting for Kate Baldwin. I hope she gets to chew some scenery.
Baranski has explained why so many Broadway actors are on THE GILDED AGE - the series primarily films in New York, so they’re available (schedules are worked around if they’re currently in a show, like Audra was with GYPSY) plus most are classically trained so they already have training in period work so it’s a quick study as it was for her as she learned her craft playing roles similar to Agnes during her years at Juilliard.

Do you mean Andrea Martin? I saw her in the preview. But would be lovely to have both!

The current season of TGA started on July 1, 2024 - months before Audra took the stage in 'Gypsy'. She began rehearsals for 'Gypsy' after TGA finished production later in the summer.

Ignore her, she drinks.

I was simply referencing what Baranski said and she mentioned Audra’s GYPSY schedule had to be worked around. I didn’t fact-check Baranski, sorry. Now let me get back to my Gimlet.

This show is fantastic. Loving seeing so many Broadway folks.
There was absolutely overlap for McDonald between projects. Maybe it was reshoots but Gypsy was in previews and she was posting IG stories from set.
Just finished episode 3 of the new season! I just love this show, it's my favorite!
My one bone to pick though, is that Patrick Page, playing a secretary, has yet to say the line "Step into my office." A major missed opportunity if you ask me.

Andrea Burns is not on THE GILDED AGE next week, that’s Andrea Martin as the psychic.
