Jenny Powers is from my hometown and started her acting career with the theatre group im in now! I kinda new her, met her once or twice.

don't know about broadway performers, but Goldie Hawn went to high school a few miles from me, and took dance from one of my dance teachers! (yes...she's pretty old)

Joey Dudding (Gypsy, La Cage) and Faith Prince went to my high school in Lynchburg, VA. Joey was four years ahead of me.

Donna Murphy grew up in Topsfield, MA a few miles down the road from me. She had a stellar attendance record in high school.........well..her understudy did.

Harve Presnell is from Modesto, CA. Carol Channing now lives in Modesto. ( I see her and her husband walking in the morning when they're in town.) Audra McDonald is from nearby Fresno.
That's all I can think of right now. At least naming these people is better than those other infamous people of late that have put Modesto on the map.

Pittsburgh is HUGE in the entertainment business...mostly behind the scenes in Hollywood, but there was a huge fuss when hometown boy Jeff Goldblum came to do the tour of Music Man last year. Also, Gene Kelly was from Pittsburgh- they have an award ceremony for the best of high school theater productions every year.

NO BP's but Bob Dylan grew up a few miles away from my home town and there are a couple up and comings that I know of...Kaija P. Allina M. Give them a couple of years and they'll be great.

Cabarethed- oh, I sorta know where Hatboro-Horsham is. Although I went to a private school my brother went to Council Rock. He has graduated now but when he went there, he was in the band and I think the football games were with you guys sometimes.

Jack Laufer (Crossing Jordan, CSI plus lots of TV) was from Kansas City, I believe.
Gracie Harrison also from Kansas City(Frasier, Star Trek although not sure which series..

I should clarify, Kim Crosby is younger than me.. but we did attend the same school at different times and I knew her family.

I was born in the city, but now I live about an hour and fifteen minutes outside of it in CT. Debbie Gravitte lives in my town, and I know her kids. Diana Canova (TV more than Broadway...) lives about 20 minutes from me, and Hervey Fierstein has a house in my town.

like many in the entertainment field..........I was raised in Brooklyn, New York,,,,,,,,having began my life in Coney Island(which is in Brooklyn).
so I guess Coney Island or Brooklyn or New York, will always be my hometown. :)
