Not Broadway at all, but Geena Davis is from Wareham, MA (couple of towns over from me)

That's all I can think of right now. At least naming these people is better than those other infamous people of late that have put Modesto on the map.

Kathleen Turner -college Southwest Mo State

There were others from college that are in the business but I don't think they called Springfield home.
John Goodman from St. Louis area, I think.
Tess Harper (Tender Mercies, Crimes of the Heart) grew up in Arkansas.
Jack Laufer (Crossing Jordan, CSI plus lots of TV) was from Kansas City, I believe.
Gracie Harrison also from Kansas City(Frasier, Star Trek although not sure which series..
