Geez. I really thought Beaches was DOA. But if it's to do Broadway, I guess this is the season to jump on in.

I was holding back...but someone else got wind of it. It is true. Shubert is doing a short run of what I can only assume is a low budget tour. No idea what is going on.  This and Titanique are truly crazy in these huge houses when the owners  have completely ignored the many mainstream, smartly budgeted musicals this season. Good luck raising money for limited runs - tour or not. There were better options.

That'd be a really fun idea, but I suspect her illness might mean she wouldn't have the stamina for 8 shows a week.

You can laugh (it’s the only way to keep from crying at the embarrassing state of NY theater) - but I can confirm both are happening. At least as of now.

I hope the Beaches rumor is true. It's so bad it rivals The First Wives Club in embarrassment level, thus making it the funniest new musical of the season.
