Geez. I really thought Beaches was DOA. But if it's to do Broadway, I guess this is the season to jump on in.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I was holding back...but someone else got wind of it. It is true. Shubert is doing a short run of what I can only assume is a low budget tour. No idea what is going on. This and Titanique are truly crazy in these huge houses when the owners have completely ignored the many mainstream, smartly budgeted musicals this season. Good luck raising money for limited runs - tour or not. There were better options.

That'd be a really fun idea, but I suspect her illness might mean she wouldn't have the stamina for 8 shows a week.
