My first double post.
As others have noted, this just went from a "I'll try to see this" to a "I can't miss this". I'm currently looking into pushing my NYC trip back a month, just so I can see this. I've never seen Laurie in person, but I've always admired her work.
Why is this even necessary?
There is no such thing as a "necessary" show and "necessary" never needs to be a criterion for any production. I've seen and directed the original stage adaptation and as a huge fan of the book and film, I loved it. That adaptation was a different take on the material than the film and included scenes/dialogue from the book the film did not. The thing about adaptations is, they don't necessarily mean carbon copies. If you don't want to see it, then just don't go.
With Laurie Metcalf in the lead role, this will be a must see. Could care less about Willis, but Metcalf is fabulous in anything she does!!

My wife corrects me on this all the time - "couldn't care less."

If this happens, I think it could be electrifying--stupendous even. This is what Broadway needs right now.
Unfortunately I still think it's too good to be true. At least for an open ended run.

Laurie Metcalfe is one of the most incredible actors I've ever seen on stage. This is so cool.
Has anyone heard of any discounts? I checked TheaterMania and BroadwayBox. Has anyone gotten a discount code?
Also, how would the view be from the back of the mezzanine? I believe those tickets are $79.
Thanks for any info!
